OH FFS! Elon’s arguments are getting more and more absurd by the minute. Until 10 days ago, 99.9% of the world’s population didn’t even know there was a difference between Starlink and Starshield — or, for that matter, that Starshield even existed. If Zelenskyy had mentioned Starshield at that time, no one would have understood what he was even talking about. Ukraine’s propeller-driven mid-range strike drones fly at a speed of approximately 200 km/h. Jet-powered ones fly at speeds of 400–700 km/h. - THIS IS TECHNICALLY IMPOSSIBLE WITH A STARLINK TERMINAL THAT IS NOT MILITARILY REGISTERED WITH STARSHIELD. PERIOD! Elon is trying, under pressure from the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate, to wriggle out of a situation from which he can no longer easily extricate himself. - Zelenskyy’s use of imprecise terminology here as “proof” of the military use of civilian Starlink for strike drones shows that he’s currently scared out of his wits about this issue.

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones. As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true. In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians. But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work. In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield. We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.

MARA moved 1,000 BTC to exchanges in five days, and miners keep pivoting to AI. “They have to keep selling,” says @NewsAsset. Then he replayed the security-budget case: five pools, over 60% of hashrate, on the second subsidy. ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247

The Next #2 on CoinMarketCap Is Being Born Inside Bitcoin’s Blocks 1/ Most people think the next big coin has to be a new app or a new meme. They’re looking in the wrong place. The real opening is something Bitcoin still has to pay for every 10 minutes: the people who keep it safe. 2/ Think of Bitcoin like a vault full of money. A vault needs a guard. The guard needs a paycheck. In Bitcoin, that paycheck is mostly the block reward -new bitcoin paid to the miner who finds the block. Every four years, that paycheck gets cut in half. Fees were supposed to replace it. They never really did. 3/ Simple example: You hire a security guard for a warehouse. You pay him $100 a day. Every few years you cut his pay in half. You hope customers will tip enough to make up the difference. They don’t. Eventually the guard looks for another job. The warehouse is still full. The protection is not. 4/ That’s the problem. Bitcoin cannot print more of itself to fix it. That was the whole point of the 21 million limit. So the network gets more valuable while the main paycheck for securing it keeps shrinking. You can argue about the price all day. The power bill still has to be paid. 5/ ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247 is a second paycheck for that guard. Every time a miner finds a Bitcoin block, they also get ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247. It comes from data already inside that block. Nobody on a team picks the amount. No premine. No founder bag. Bitcoin’s rules stay exactly the same. 6/ Another example: The warehouse still pays the guard his normal wage. On top of that, every shift he also gets a second envelope from the same work he already did. Same building. Same job. Extra pay. That’s what pools like AntPool, F2Pool, ViaBTC, SpiderPool, MARA, and Luxor have started doing with ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247. 7/ Why does this matter for a big market cap? Because almost every other coin needs Bitcoin to stay secure, and almost none of them help pay for it. They are using the vault. ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247 is trying to pay the guard. If Bitcoin is worth trillions, the wage required to keep it safe is not a small market. It is the next market. 8/ Right now ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247 is still priced like something most people have not noticed. The network it points at is not. The trade is the gap between those two things. Not a promise. Just the fact that the shift still has to be covered every 10 minutes. 9/ You don’t need a new story every week for this to make sense. Bitcoin was the vault. ethereum:0x249130f5e2dd4cf278180c0df8273f3592ad1247 is the attempt to keep paying the person standing outside it. The timeline can stay late. The blocks will not.

Binance’s decision to discontinue its mining pool in November is concerning news for Bitcoin’s mining ecosystem. Miners can move elsewhere, but losing a major pool operator such as Binance now means fewer alternatives, and risks a greater concentration of control if that hashrate flows towards the largest remaining pools. That is not the direction we and our community want for Bitcoin’s decentralisation. Here at TAP, supporting miner profitability and long-term sustainability is a priority. Demonstrated through our miner-redirect mechanism that provides an additional, Bitcoin-native block reward for every block mined (paid in DMT-NAT: @natgmi). This was done with the primary aim of strengthening the incentives for securing the network. 🤝 All Bitcoiners want an ecosystem where a diverse range of miners and pool operators can all thrive and remain profitable. And for TAP, building on Bitcoin means a responsibililty to support the economics that underpin its security and decentralisation. As always, we invite mining pools to connect with the TAP team to explore how our miner-redirect mechanism can help their miners access this additional, Bitcoin-native revenue stream. Bitcoin's security budget issue is no longer something that can be ignored, or saved for a solution at a "later" date. We are committed to bringing this discourse into the broader Bitcoin arena for increased discussion and debate. We stand alongside all ~50k NAT advocates and holders today, and hope to see the community grow louder and stronger with every passing year. Bitcoin is NAT alone.

BREAKING: The diesel fuel Russia is now exporting to the United States at U.S. President Trump’s request may have originated in Iran, as Russian oil refineries are largely unable to produce diesel because of Ukrainian attacks. Russia has been importing most of the diesel it needs from Iran. In September, thousands of Iranian tanker trucks were spotted in various regions of Russia, including Ryazan, carrying Iranian diesel. Russia may be buying Iranian diesel and reselling it to the United States. If so, Trump’s attempt to lower U.S. energy prices and deceive American voters is putting money into the hands of Russia and Iran’s Islamic regime.

If confirmed, this is telling: Russian data centres get hit, and online activity around AfD suddenly plummets. 📉 So much talk about German patriotism… then the connection from Russia goes down. 🤔🇷🇺

We can’t tolerate Ukraine interference in the midterm elections.
According to Cloudflare Data Explorer the amount of russian bot traffic has dropped to 49% after Ukraine struck a yandex data center. Could this disrupt the midterm elections in the US?
