This point.
For the cheap seats: an NHS that is free at the point of care is NOT the same as free universal healthcare You can keep the NHS free and still privatise the U.K. healthcare service

Water companies can have their licences removed because they are insolvent or because they are failing to fulfil their statutory duties. That's a double whammy for Thames Water. The government should be using their power, removing Thames Water’s licence and taking it into special administration.

@NAOorguk has published its examination of ICB restructuring… ouch! It cannot establish whether organisations have retained the skills and capacity needed to do their jobs, writes @roylilley . In other words, people have gone, without knowing whether @NHSEngland can manage without them. myemail.constantcontact.com/… Another glorious & shining example of the "admirable" qualities of @wesstreeting & @alanmilburn1958

This is a serious and overlooked issue. I've already been affected by not having a smartphone and by living alone - twice bullied by GP reception due to my inability to send them a photo of something in order to get an appointment. We need in-person access routes for essentials.
Patients unable to navigate multi-step NHS online consultation forms may delay seeking care until minor symptoms escalate into more complex problems, driving avoidable emergency attendances. Ensuring there are non-digital routes access such as phone and in-person is essential.

This is so important by @NickTriggle and has been flagged repeatedly by emergency planners. It was a deliberate government strategy since 2010 and it’s vital to ask many questions about it bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c65y…

@PatientsAssoc @SarahTilsed why haven’t you informed patients about the physician assistant clinical protocols out for consultation? You’re one of the stakeholders. How do patients get to have their say ? @parthaskar

Not a single gynecological condition is included in the disability guidance of the Equality Act. It is silent on endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, PMOS and PMDD, conditions that affect millions of women and whose effects are, by their very nature, cyclical and recurring. Our employment rights are neglecting the conditions and experiences of millions of women. Yesterday in Parliament, I led a debate calling on the Government to change that.

We taxpayers are paying for @thameswater's failure to do its job. That's not fair, @andyburnham
Replying to @thameswater
@thameswater is billions in debt, polluting our rivers and asking for bailouts. Emergency funding wasn't used to repair infrastructure, it was used to give eye-watering bonuses to executives. @GreenJennyJones calls for Thames water to be placed into Special Administration - now.

If you’re a hospital manager who uses the mantra of patient flow to justify the systems you put in place, John Launer invites you to apply the usual test of asking, “What if this was your mother?” If it fails that test, please try to do better, he says bmj.com/content/395/bmj-2026…

Data centres shouldn’t get a free pass to wreck our planet. After record summer heat, it’s ludicrous the public are warned against barbecues while tech bros get the green light for unlimited AI slop. Back my Charter for Community Rights. 👇

I’ve learned that physically healthy, able-bodied people think they can “earn” their health. That if they eat right, exercise, and “don’t be lazy,” they’ll be able-bodied forever. This belief is the insidious underbelly of every piece of disability or healthcare legislation.
One of the most effective ways to keep people from questioning an unjust system is to convince them that their ability to survive it makes them morally superior to those who can't.

Toys 'R' Us was loaded with debt until it collapsed. Thames Water was gutted and has filled rivers with sewage. Now, private equity has moved into NHS through ‘insourcing’. Tell your MP to put an end to this quiet takeover: everydoctor.eaction.org.uk/s…

Even subtle shifts when switching between brand-name and generic formulations (or between suppliers) can potentially lead to a breakthrough seizure. Production variations can alter how our bodies processes them. #EpilepsyAwarenesssMonth #NEAM #EpilepsyAwareness

Speaking as someone with a family history of heart disease, I wish that more people were aware of this ⬇️. Too many women die bc their symptoms aren’t “male” enough - not a surprise ofc, but a scandal nonetheless
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a leading cause of death in women in the UK, yet it remains under-recognised. Women often present with symptoms that do not match the classic ‘male’ pattern of severe central chest pain. This contributes to delays in diagnosis and poorer outcomes.
