A video featuring my story just hit
60 MILLION VIEWS.
That’s a completely ridiculous number of people to imagine. 😂
So, hi. I’m Beatrice.
And here is my story
Thanks for watching and walking this journey with me.
Was It Meant to Take Away Our Superpowers?, by @beawebwriter open.substack.com/pub/beatri…
It has been 14 years since my hands picked up the heavy black-and-silver machine and ran it along my scalp, my body leaving me as I completed the required task.
My mother-in-law died this week after years of suffering. I didn’t go to her funeral.
But I’m honoring her now, the only way I know how, by telling the truth.
I’m 52 now. The same age my mother-in-law was when her body began to shut down.
If You Think You’ll Leave “Someday”, by @beawebwriter open.substack.com/pub/beatri…
"Don’t wait to take the steps to create a better life for yourself, because it may be too late. Our bodies carry the cost of our silence and sacrifice."

‘My ex was crazy’ often just means ‘she finally got tired of being ignored, dismissed, gaslit, and breadcrumbed, and she reacted like a person pushed past her limits’.
He won’t tell you what he did, just that she didn’t stay quiet about it.
They’re calling this “freedom of education.”
But what it really means is that tens of thousands of Hasidic boys will continue to grow up without a basic education.
I lived it. My children lived it.And now, the state has made it law.

🚨 Breaking: The #NY2025 budget includes amended legislation securing freedom of education! Huge thanks to @SEichenstein @AronWieder and Shomer Shabbos Caucus Chair @DavidWeprin. Special thanks to @Tzedek_Assoc for stepping in when progress seemed stalled. #EducationFreedom
My heart pounded as I pressed play.
I had agreed to be in this documentary, but I hadn’t prepared myself for what it would feel like to watch it. To see my own face. To hear my own voice telling a story that had once cost me everything.
But when my face appeared on the screen, and I heard my voice, time seemed to slow down. For over six minutes, I spoke about my fight to secure an education for my son. It was a fight that upended my life and challenged a system designed to silence women like me.
Are you a woman who wants to leave a bad situation but feels financially trapped?
Do you have a secure and stable job and are yearning for more but are scared to take the risk?

Eventually I left that behind and pursued my freedom.
In my substack this week, I describe what that experience was like and how I eventually escaped and found my freedom. open.substack.com/pub/beatri…
I got married as an 18 year old with a dowry.
My husband received a house and full financial support for over a dozen years.
It sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?
All I had to do was care for the children and keep house.
Eventually I left that behind and pursued my freedom.

The grievances outlined in this complaint have already been dismissed repeatedly in state court. This isn't about protecting civil rights — it’s about shielding institutions from accountability while tens of thousands of kids are denied a basic education.
