A critical security flaw has been disclosed in Linux, the operating system behind many apps, websites and blockchain nodes.
Developers, block producers and Linux server operators: check whether your systems are affected.
The bug is tracked as CVE-2026-98432 and rated critical (9.8/10). It affects the Linux kernel, the core of the operating system, where network connections are handled.
Anthropic demonstrated a working attack on a vulnerable configuration that gave a remote attacker full administrator access. No password. No one clicking a link.
That could mean stolen customer data or API keys stored on the server, altered applications, and services taken offline. Updating app dependencies alone won't fix the operating system.
To protect Telos Foundation servers, we first applied temporary mitigations to reduce risk. We have since rolled out kernel patches as vendor fixes became available earlier today.
Check your Linux vendor's advisory for your exact kernel. Test and install the fix, coordinate a reboot, and verify the fixed kernel is running. If your provider manages the OS, confirm its patch status.
Ubuntu users: some fixes are still in qualification testing. Follow the guidance for your release and kernel.

26 networks have shut down since October 2025.

It’s a wrap from OpenAI DevDay in SF 📸
We went with a goal in mind: bring recursive self-improvement to Telos.
AI should be able to help us find what needs improving, build and test changes, learn from the results, and get better at that whole process over time. Across our software, tooling and how we support builders.
A few announcements felt particularly relevant:
🤖 Dots — agents that can keep working on ongoing tasks. Lots of potential for turning feedback and ideas into work ready for our team to review.
☁️ Codex in the cloud — development environments where agents can keep building and testing while your laptop is closed. You can check in and steer the work from your phone.
⚡ Ultrafast — up to 8× faster token generation in Codex. When you’re repeatedly building, testing and refining, that speed starts to matter.
🔌 Sign in with ChatGPT + expanded plugins — opens up interesting possibilities for connecting Telos tools to people’s existing AI workflows.
Just as valuable were the people we met. It was great to compare notes with other builders, share what we’re working towards at Telos and make connections we can keep building on after the event.
There’s still work to do to put this together. But the ability for a small team and its community to build, maintain and improve an entire ecosystem is changing quickly.
We want Telos to make the most of that.
