I started a new playthrough of HeartGold when @chuggaaconroy started his lets play and have been doing dailies every morning during my commute to work. I've never played the game like that in the past and tbh I think Tama is right these games are way better than I remembered.
I also think that there is a more interesting conversation to be had about friction in games, especially RPGs. Forcing the player to figure out things on their own or grinding for a specific piece of gear adds to the overall experience of a game.
This is a shame cause I cannot use Dia on my work laptop (blocked because of AI) and Arc is pretty integral to my workflow at the moment. TBC gets a lot of hate but I think they’re one of the few companies making software that’s both functional AND fun. It was a pleasure Arc 🫡
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.

I have been a primarily a PC gamer since 2017 and I love it. I love the freedom it provides, and I’ve always been a tinkerer. These days it’s been tough to justify being on PC due to time and just how ridiculously expensive parts are these days. Gotta love AI 😒
There is an absolute shift happening and it's not in favor of PC.
PC gaming sucks and at least more are finally admitting it publicly.

The comment section here just shows a complete lack of empathy in society. Basically screams “Fuck you I got mine” which is kinda sad tbh. Gambling ruins lives, promoting it contributes to the abuse. You can use whatever logic you want to try and make yourself feel better.
Genuinely, am I missing something? Nade used to rip CS cases for hours and everyone loved it. That's gambling. His audience is grown adults, he's not NickEh30. The NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL all have betting partners with ads plastered across the actual games. Is this just the internet being the internet?
