I genuinely like the iPhone Duo, but this first generation one seems like a tougher sell for folks who are used to more polished devices/models. (I'm excited for what's to come)

For me, the iPhone Duo this round (like the Vision Pro) is a “try” not a “buy” … I used a BlackBerry until the iPhone 4 came out (when they nailed it 👍🏻)

Before there was the MZ-RH1 (tiny, ultimate, futuristic high-end MiniDisc player) 💽 … there was the Toshiba KT-AS10 dubbed "Mr. Small" that didn't even fit the entire cassette itself! walkman.land/toshiba/kt-as10 Very cool, had a tiny AM/FM "tape" as well. Love Japanese gadgets 🎌

Peace is restored to macOS when you restore the round, non-squircle'd icon for TextMate on Tahoe 🟣 (@macromates ✌🏻)

I find it consistently more difficult to find good restaurants because so many reviews on Google Maps are skewed/meaningless. If you run a bar/restaurant, you can just give away free drinks to get 5 star reviews. It’s the same issue on the App Store, 5-stars is default to many

New Siri looks promising. Can’t wait to uninstall some of my other AI tools.

this will be an awesome archiving of today's Tokyo, which will likely be very different from tomorrow 🗼 (alongside Persona 5)
Forza Horizon 6's Tokyo is "five times larger" than anything that the development team has designed before. #XboxDeveloperDirect

weren't the cool icons a reason to switch to Mac?

I remember when people used to go to Safari or [Internet] Explorer and "browse" the web. Now you just log into feeds and other walled gardens

ironic that AI companies increasing RAM prices prevents people from cheaply obtaining hardware capable of running advanced LLMs on their local machines 🤔

it's a little ironic that AI slop (full of security issues) is arriving at the same time as private companies are trying to defend that they can review millions of apps effectively. building and shipping apps used to be hard, and download numbers used to be a signal of quality.
