Nice summary below for the Empulse trial. Beneficial effect of Empagliflozin in acute #heartfailure. Significant reduction in the composite 1^ endpoint including all-cause death. No DKA among the 524 subjects included. Numerically less AKI.

Today we've recommended selpercatinib for use within the Cancer Drugs Fund for people with certain forms of thyroid cancer.
It is estimated there are around 60 people in England who are eligible for the treatment.

What would be a game changer is if even a small proportion of this fine (<5%) went to thyroid research which has never really had the funding of other conditions so much could be done on T3 studies, thyroid eye disease, thyroid in pregnancy.
