I wrote this four years ago and it still applies. The people who run college football conferences don’t get the regular season *is* the sport and rivalries are more important than the tv markets. The playoffs should be additive to that, not replacing that. Sad.

Now this is a take that isn’t getting enough air waves… because it’s true… entire recruiting class was gutted incredibly late start to transfer portal… just as a reminder for you guys who don’t remember my class (2014) all committed to O’Brien and when he left it took PSU between 9 and 11 days to hire Coach Franklin… it took us 57 days to hire Matt Campbell… it all starts there before you start pointing fingers at MC

Matt Campbell is not the problem, it’s not his fault he was hired after early signing day. It’s not his fault that he didn’t get a Headstart in the transfer portal and all he could bring to state college was Iowa State players. If there is anybody to blame it’s Pat Kraft
