Stable diffusion models are fun and usually take a server to run. Today we are happy to share the Web Stable Diffusion project, which brings SD models from @huggingface and @pytorch to browser clients through @WebGPU support. Checkout mlc.ai/web-stable-diffusion for our demo!

I was never a good systems engineer, so I always avoided the topic of compiling and optimizing ML models.
However, as I work with ML on devices, the topic keeps coming up. So I spent the last 3 months learning about ML compilers.
Here’s what I learned. huyenchip.com/2021/09/07/a-f…

Whenever I get discouraged and want to quit something, I remember the words of my then 3 year-old after she puked carrots all over the living room floor: "I'm gonna need more carrots."

From a cold start, Learned Sort can learn a distribution model for an input dataset, and use it to sort the input, while still giving an end-to-end sort time that beats the fastest alternatives! blog.acolyer.org/2020/10/19/… Is nowhere safe from ML?!!

Imagine the possibility that most of both Trump and Biden voters are intelligent, good people who want the best for our country. The media and the extreme voices on either side want to drive us apart. Don't let them.

I’m an immigrant: J1, F1, H1B, GC, Citizenship. I ❤️ US because it’s welcoming of ideas, of people & diversity. I’m grateful to the US and I’m heartbroken to see its awesomeness crumble. Let’s work hard, invent more, educate more, create more jobs, let’s fight shortsightedness.

If you do not have any respiratory symptoms, such as fever, cough, or runny nose, you do not need to wear a medical mask. When used alone, masks can give you a false feeling of protection and can even be a source of infection when not used correctly. ➡️bit.ly/2QN3QOp

I've been thinking about the software stack for machine learning. Tools I'd love to see.
1. Pip for pretrained models.
2. Version control for datasets.
3. GPU-friendly CI. Travis CI, Circe CI don't support GPUs. Jenkins is a pain.
4. Fast dataframes. Why is Pandas so slow?

My university just announced that it’s dumping Blackboard, and there was much rejoicing. Why is Blackboard universally reviled? There’s a standard story of why "enterprise software" sucks. If you’ll bear with me, I think this is best appreciated by talking about… baby clothes!

1/My 6mo daughter, Lydia, was born with a random genetic mutation. She will never sit, crawl, walk or talk. She lives in pain. We were told nothing could be done for her. That’s not true. We can fix Lydia and others like her *today*. Here’s how…

Reprogrammed bacteria are going to be a whole new class of drugs. Living medicines like these will ultimately be bigger than protein drugs -- a cell can just do so much more. And @synlogic_tx leading the charge in bacteria ! 🦠💥
