Vendors charging for MCP = vendors charging for SSO or APIs in 2015. Foundational capabilities shouldn't be paywalled. If yours are, you're with the wrong provider.

OK done, i've just downgraded from Anthropic Max x20 to Max x5 for my personal projects ; still on Codex Pro x20 Multiple reasons, but @AnthropicAI if you listen to signals from your individual users, here they are - Availability means I can't use my whole plan, not even close. - Fable 5 & Opus 5 barely usable, they derail, lie, get out of workflow... Complex tasks go to Gpt 5.6 Sol Ultra. I miss Opus 4.6 1M Token tbh. - Sonnet 5 still a good work horse, but needs supervision from Gpt5.6 - Claude Code memory leaks. I'm keeping the Max x5 sub for two reasons : 1. less important, I still want to play around with your models 2. Claude Design. That's a great product, I would really miss it. That's the sticky part I keep paying you guys for :) Cheers

Oops... I did it again. Enjoy reset usage limits for all paid users for Codex and ChatGPT Work. Super grateful for an incredible team who is iterating at lightspeed and keeping the infra up as we scale faster than ever. Enjoy the weekend!
GPT-5.6 Sol confirmed to be an extremely good model

The Turnberry agreements 🇺🇸🇪🇺 were supposed to bring stability to Europe — in exchange for trade and energy submission. By unilaterally raising tariffs on automobiles by 25%, Donald Trump is demonstrating that the EU signed up for submission AND humiliation. Let us salute the courage of Sabine Weyand, Director General for Trade, who had refused to give a thumbs up to this agreement of dishonour. The end of her mandate was announced this week.

Europeans, after a four day weekend, reading about just how absolutely furious America is with them.
Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. This is not just another disagreement. Betrayal is not something you just let slide. And the mouthy responses from Europeans are pouring gas on that fire. They have misjudged the situation gravely & it will have grave consequences for Europe— economically AND militarily.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Polls show 59% of Americans disapprove of U.S. military action in Iran, with 60-68% holding favorable views of NATO. While some U.S. officials accused Europe of betrayal for urging de-escalation, no polls indicate broad American fury toward Europe. pewresearch.org/politics/2026/… news.gallup.com/poll/700889/u.…

France’s central bank sold 129 tonnes of French gold stored in New York, bought equivalent gold in Europe that meets current standards, and recorded a €12.8bn gain due to higher gold prices. All French gold reserves are now held in Paris.

If there is precisely one thing you watch today, make it this. French Senator Claude Malhuret. A microphone. And the most magnificently savage dismantling of the Trump administration ever delivered in a language they almost certainly don’t speak. He covers Iran. He covers corruption. He covers the kind of staggering, industrial-scale incompetence that would get you fired from managing a car park. And he does it with the calm, unhurried certainty of a man who has read every page of the indictment and found it, if anything, worse than expected. France has never pretended to like these people. But this is contempt elevated to an art form. The kind of refined, aristocratic disdain that takes centuries of civilization to produce and approximately ninety seconds to deploy. Malhuret sounds like he is four seconds from the button. Not out of panic. Out of sheer, exhausted disgust. Honestly? Understandable. Watch it. Share it. The adults are speaking. To the immortal memory of Colonel Arnaud Beltrame of the Gendarmerie nationale who died on this day eight years ago. He selflessly exchanged himself for a hostage, putting himself in the hands of a terrorist who had already murdered three people. It cost him his life.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

If you wanted us for the landing, you should have thought of us for the take off. You broke it, you own it.
Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.
