A decent late Autumn day on the patch, it started with a Woodlark, softly flight-calling over my head as I flushed it out of the tall grass & ended with a 1w Caspian Gull on Alexandra Lake #Wanstead #londonbirds

These White-fronted Geese were observed from at least four locations as they flew over London this morning, and I was lucky enough to see them as they sailed past @FriendsAllyPark. The first record for the park in a very long time! #londonbirds

Temmink's Stint-juv, Paul do Cabo da Praia,Terceira, Only the second Temmink's Stint I have seen here, the first as recent as only last year 2025, being able to watch & study Stint's & Peeps for hours upon hours learning behaviour & ID is always an opportunity not to be missed.

This juvenile Temmink's Stint in the Paul do Cabo da Praia quarry, Terceira recently was often seen defending it's feeding territory against Semi P Sand's (& Sanderling) as in this video, outsized & out-numbered it always stood it's ground, always good to witness such behaviour,

Honey Buzzard, ad female-New Forest-Summer 2026, totally unbarred which isn't a common morph among females on Forest, ringed LH & advised this bird is 12 years of age & so hoped to have played a big part in the recruitment of new birds into the system @HOSbirding

Semi P Sand-ad-Paul do Cabo da Praia, Terceira, U can hear this bird call several times, the short but stout bill is thick at the base & rounded at the tip, not long & pointed like a Little Stint, when side on you can see the no neck jizz & at the end U can see the webbing.

Semipalmated Plover-Paul do Cabo da Praia, Terceira-You can hear that classic diagnostic call just on the 12 second mark of this video, such an announcing call making you aware of the presence of this species.
