See ehn, I was initially willing to understand Sovieshu's decision to take another woman because he wanted an heir and needed to secure his throne.
That, I could understand from a political standpoint.
But then I noticed his shift in attitude and the sheer disrespect he began showing the Empress.
He humiliated her by taking a slave girl.
Now that's just one less problem o
He went ahead again ,to change palace rules to accommodate Rashta.
How did he even switch attitude like that?
What kind of disrespect is that?

I genuinely want to know what the h8 towards this drama is about🤔
The cinematography is giving. The budget is budgeting, and most importantly, it's a fantasy drama.
I didn't read the webtoon, but I'm genuinely enjoying it. I really like it so far.
I think the costume and props department ateeee hands down
Look at this lady, for example. She could easily pass for Cinderella's step-mother. 😂😂
I saw her character and immediately started laughing.

Sovieshu versi Ju kayak lebih punya dignity. Biarpun lagi asik berdebar-debar, kalo lagi urusan kerja sebagai kaisar. Lumayan profesional. Dan harus ya seseksi ini buat ngomong “lu ga tau siapa gue?”
Tiap liat komenan, kenapa gak A, B, C aja yang jadi Sovieshu. Aku reflek dalam hati bilang, “cusss silahkan aja, ambil perannya sepaket sama kostum dan color gradingnya”.

They were bashing the remarried empress and I knew I will definitely tune in. The casting was perfect also 🫵🏻

One thing I find interesting about The Remarried Empress discourse is how much of the criticism is coming from people who already have a very strong attachment to the source material.
And I understand it. When you have spent years reading a webtoon or novel, you already have an image of these characters in your head. You know how Navier should look, how Heinrey should carry himself, what the palace should feel like and even how certain scenes should play out.
But an adaptation is also its own interpretation. It should be allowed to have an identity of its own, even if that doesn’t mean every creative decision will work.
I just don’t think every difference from the source material automatically makes an adaptation bad. #TheRemarriedEmpress
