I had a perfectly good excuse for being a terrible brother. Several, actually. A whole collection of them, if anyone cared to hear me out.
Work had been keeping me ridiculously busy lately. The kind of busy where you blink and suddenly it's Thursday, you've had coffee for dinner
My older sister was having her birthday party tonight, and I, her supposedly younger brother, had apparently been too busy pretending to be an important adult to remember.
Fantastic. Excellent work on my part.
Thankfully, I was in town and not deserted on some remote city.
