1/ Earlier today, our Bitcoin engineering and security teams at Block began investigating reports of non-Bitkey wallets being drained. To proactively protect our customers, we began investigating immediately. Here’s what we found 🧵
What has been the Mythos/AI impact on security issues identification and fixing the n @bitcoincoreorg so far? Do some Core Devs have access to Mythos?
So Mythos was, indeed, not marketing hype.
Remember this is a general purpose model that just happens to be good at finding exploits because good models are good at lots of things. Expect similar from OpenAI & Google. And from open models in 8 months. hacks.mozilla.org/2026/05/be…
Hey @Giovann35084111 and @moneyordebt! Did you look into Ergodic Economics of @ole_b_peters yet? I think it can add a novel fundamental perspective to Bitcoin's power law growth process and risk management. See ergodicityeconomics.com/2023…
What happened to all the AI-generated @leanprover proofs of Riemann Hypothesis and other goodies everyone announced last month? Did anything come out of that?
Scientists are not even convinced that (even useless!) quantum supremacy has been achieved - and people freak out about an imminent quantum threat to #Bitcoin? 🤦

It is hard to communicate how much programming has changed due to AI in the last 2 months: not gradually and over time in the "progress as usual" way, but specifically this last December. There are a number of asterisks but imo coding agents basically didn’t work before December and basically work since - the models have significantly higher quality, long-term coherence and tenacity and they can power through large and long tasks, well past enough that it is extremely disruptive to the default programming workflow.
Just to give an example, over the weekend I was building a local video analysis dashboard for the cameras of my home so I wrote: “Here is the local IP and username/password of my DGX Spark. Log in, set up ssh keys, set up vLLM, download and bench Qwen3-VL, set up a server endpoint to inference videos, a basic web ui dashboard, test everything, set it up with systemd, record memory notes for yourself and write up a markdown report for me”. The agent went off for ~30 minutes, ran into multiple issues, researched solutions online, resolved them one by one, wrote the code, tested it, debugged it, set up the services, and came back with the report and it was just done. I didn’t touch anything. All of this could easily have been a weekend project just 3 months ago but today it’s something you kick off and forget about for 30 minutes.
As a result, programming is becoming unrecognizable. You’re not typing computer code into an editor like the way things were since computers were invented, that era is over. You're spinning up AI agents, giving them tasks *in English* and managing and reviewing their work in parallel. The biggest prize is in figuring out how you can keep ascending the layers of abstraction to set up long-running orchestrator Claws with all of the right tools, memory and instructions that productively manage multiple parallel Code instances for you. The leverage achievable via top tier "agentic engineering" feels very high right now.
It’s not perfect, it needs high-level direction, judgement, taste, oversight, iteration and hints and ideas. It works a lot better in some scenarios than others (e.g. especially for tasks that are well-specified and where you can verify/test functionality). The key is to build intuition to decompose the task just right to hand off the parts that work and help out around the edges. But imo, this is nowhere near "business as usual" time in software.
So, does Bitcoin work in Iran today? Are there some up to date synced Bitcoin fullnodes in Iran? @adam3us is someone successfully using your satellite? We have a live test of censorship resistance here! How are we doing? What about the @torproject and .onion fullnodes?
2014 has called - it wants its Blockchain Technology back.
"Cryptocurrencies" is not a Technology!
Blockchain and the Ledger are!
The real value of the "Crypto Revolution" is not decentralized currencies.
Value of the "Crypto Revolution" will come through Tokenization, Smart Contracts etc. which will lift small scale investments (in hard assets) to a new unseen level, will reduce transaction costs and increase security of trading/doing business across the World.
This - together with the productivity leap of AI and Quantum Computing - will explode productivity of Humans - and propel growth higher the coming decades.
It is a Technology Leap on the level of the invention of the Steam Engine in 1840s.
The "Defi" argument is stupid.
The "Digital Gold" argument is wrong.
The "Hedge against FIAT debasement" is laughable.
The real value of the new technology has been over-shadowed and clouded by greed and Bubble-thinking created by years of Central Bank money printing.
But - after the Bust of the Bubble - the real Crypto-winners will stand out - while 99% of the current tokens/coins will fall into the abyss of History's trash-bin.
Bitcoin OGs benefit from the Reverse Cantillon Effect: we got the hardest money first and are able to profit from that more than those that come later. The Power Law models that effect quantitatively.

Google Play will ban non-custodial wallets unless developers hold a FinCEN, state banking, or MiCA license.
In the EU, MiCA rules effectively block such wallets entirely from the store.

I'd like to remind you of something.
There is no legislation passed for the US to actually acquire Bitcoin.
They haven't bought one fucking sat.
Now, the "spokesman" who attended every conference, every interview that asked, to repeatedly assure us the US wanted as much Bitcoin as it could get, AND said he didn't want to poison the well by disclosing how they could do that:
HAS RESIGNED.
There has been no audit of gold.
No audit of Bitcoin.
Epstein tapes will never be released.
Privacy is not only a human right, it is the precondition for humanities separate evolution from the AI.
