I’m in favour of this change. Locking on the highest bid is myopically rational for the validator, but using the latest bid induces the better market. There are many pieces of code in the validator client that are there not because the validator benefits (in fact, it may cost them) but because client code is the best approximation we have to enforce norms that are not observable by the protocol. This is one of them. (Yes this is a nod to an old piece ;) barnabe.substack.com/p/seein…)
As part of Gloas, clients are considering adding the option to select the highest bid per builder per slot instead of last. We strongly advocate for not providing this option & encourage proposers & responsible builders to also advocate for this position. blockspace.forum/takes/keep-…

PAMMs are streaming quotes throughout the entire slot and without latest bid they will either have to quote much wider or save their quote for the very last moment

Inclusion tracing gives the user a view into their path onchain. More transparent UX for monitoring inclusion! Separately, I really like this "295 hours saved" statistic :) action produces information, pulling actions earlier means faster information, means faster action etc.
1/ MPBC now supports Inclusion Tracing. This means that users can check how transactions eligible for MPBC are handled by operators. This feature is from conversations at the Blockspace Forum, and a step towards transparent UX that goes beyond single-party block construction.

Transparency is key! Kudos to the mpbc operators for adding this, the effort and costs to build/ship/maintain this aren't free...

MPBC is fast approaching 100k included user transactions. Inclusion Tracing allows users to easily check how their transactions were handled. Knowing a transaction's hash and the time it was sent is enough. Outputs are specific without obscure language. Making UX better and transparent is really key for Ethereum to succeed!

4/ Read more about Inclusion Tracing in the Blockspace Forum’s docs (in the comments below) and try it yourself on the dashboard.

This was a topic of conversation back at the first Forum event. Great to see teams ship this!
After working with proposers and incorporating feedback, Commit-Boost users can now be "peaked and tuned" with bid streaming. This upgrade, supported by MPBC Operators, brings improved stability, increased competition for block bids, and more robustness to Ethereum. Details 👇

First analysis by a NO of the impact on their blocks from MPBC!
🚨We've measured multi-party block construction across our own validator set on @ethereum and got an excellent result so far: ‣ +0.0356 ETH, the highest captured MPBC value of any major operator so far! ‣ 203 merged blocks out of 6,148 proposed: 3.30% adoption, ~1.7x the chain average. ‣ +2,002 transactions that would otherwise have waited. ‣ +1.63% uplift per merged block, against +1.02% network-wide. ‣ Merged via @aestusrelay (89), @ultrasoundmoney (62) and @titanbuilderxyz (52). Note: MPBC is additive by design. Nothing changes for our delegators except fuller blocks and more value per slot to stakers. Stake ETH with Everstake 👉 everstake.com/staking/protoc…

Multi-party block construction is live on Ethereum mainnet 🚀 Blocks can now include transactions from multiple builders, which speeds up inclusion and strengthens censorship resistance. Luganodes is proud to support MPBC from day one.

Better use of each block could mean more rewards for anyone staking ETH. Excited to see what Blockspace is building for Ethereum.
