Welcome @ronithhh @polarizz39 @jensrst @interfaceclub! They’re amongst the handful of teams that care deeply about craft and design Suffice to say, we’re insanely excited to have them Can’t wait to show you all what we’ve been cooking
Interface Club has been acquired by @variantui! So proud of the work the team shipped over the past couple years. Here are some of the highlights:

Just noticed there’s a cyclops à la Rolex on the tach God dayum…no one does it better than Porsche
Admiring the new Porsche dashboard and interior. Just perfectly balanced throughout, exactly how I'd like it.

Taste is a massively multiplayer pvp game LLMs will compete and so will humans
I no longer see any compelling reason to believe that taste is some permanent boundary LLMs won’t cross. It’s already happening.

This was significantly harder than I thought it would be.

This is the top reason people quit Being a founder is incredibly low status until you’re obviously winning
No one talks about how deeply humiliating starting a company can be

I’ve had ego death many times over and many times to come Getting denied a mortgage, making less than a junior employee, seeing your peers “pass you” on the career ladder, people regarding you as effectively unemployed…all suck But I still wouldn’t trade it for anything

Claude Opus 5.5 writes a fugue in the style of Bach. I called Astra’s fugue the most impressive musical feat I’d ever seen from an LLM, and this is just as good. The circle-of-fifths sequence beginning at 1:13 is beautiful. The interplay of voices is natural and satisfying. LLMs are getting to the point where their music is good enough to listen to for pure enjoyment.

Excited to be a small part of this, it’s exactly the kind of school I would’ve killed to attend Instead, I had to ditch class so I could tinker with computers Kids shouldn’t have to choose between attendance and following their curiosity and passions

Once video games become indistinguishable from real life (with minimal effort), we'll see an explosion of hyper-stylized and creative aesthetics
PC gaming ONLY....this shit look crazy

Instinct at $10B makes sense if you think they’re competing for what could be the final consumer software play And it’s the only one of the leading horses with VC upside
Source: AI assistant Instinct seeks to raise $1B at a $10B valuation, up from $2.25B less than a month ago; Sequoia and Benchmark are in talks to lead the round (@pauvalida / The Information) (Visit Techmeme dot com for the link and full context!)

Me and Astra 🥰
Anyone else notices this problem with Astra? Astra: I have done X Me: This is wrong, you should do Y instead Astra: You're right. I should do Y Me: ... Why doesn't it just go and do Y, like the other models??

Blessed to work with the very talented @doriancottin Easily the most underrated design engineer
Replying to @k_grajeda
here's my take on this, i think cubic bezier curves are the best way to achieve a smooth result here the tab and the body stay one single path the whole time. when the gap gets too small for a full corner, it morphs into one S-curve with a shared tangent, so nothing ever looks disconnected your thread got me nerding out on this haha

This plus the sort of parallax effect makes the front screen feel like a piece of transparent glass
