On Oct. 1, the @NJLaborDept is slated to implement the most stringent interpretation of the ABC test in the US. This WILL make it much more difficult for NJ's 1.7M independent contractors to do the freelance work they seek. As thousands seek exemptions for this misguided rule, please join us in asking @GovSherrillNJ to delay it before we greatly damage our gig economy and worsen NJ's business climate. Go to njbia.org/ABCDelay now!

NJBIA has launched a campaign urging the @NJLaborDept to pause the implementation of the #ABCtest that makes it much more difficult for workers to qualify as independent contractors. Any #freelancer or #gigworker, any business who utilizes them or consumers who benefit from them can tell @GovSherrillNJ to halt the independent contractor rule before it takes effect on Oct. 1! njbia.org/ABCDelay f.mtr.cool/w6eaigj796

This is sad, a long time NJ company leaving after decades and decades. Businesses have put up with a state government (and one particular party) that at best takes them for granted or worse now even cites them as the enemy for too many years.
As more and more companies cry uncle, and decide to leave our state’s worst-in-the-nation business climate..high taxes and burdensome regulations…our Democrat “leaders” continue to dig the whole deeper. njbia.org/sweet-sorrow-mars-…
