My son was 15 when he heard about Laken Riley. He was angry when he heard about her journal full of plans for her future and a husband. When he heard she fought for 17 minutes, it was the first time I ever saw him with fury in his eyes. The first time he wouldn’t discuss something with me. May God rest her soul.

Laken Riley had a Garmin smartwatch on when she was attacked Her heart rate jumped to 170 bpm which told investigators that was when she was being attacked It lasted for 17 minutes then suddenly stopped - that's when the animal finally killed her So the next time you want to tell me about how unfair illegal immigrants are being treated I want you to set a timer for 17 minutes and watch it go by so you can understand how long that young woman fought for her life

So this gets thrown around a lot, but this is just out and out mental illness. And it begs the question, are these people nuts because they were put on meds that took a momentary struggle and turned them into these psychotic episodes, or are they nuts and they were put on meds that are making it worse? How do we being to fix this?
