It's impressive that, before its release, everyone thought Interstellar and Mockingjay – Part 1 would overshadow Big Hero 6's box office, and yet it still grossed $672 million worldwide.
I really hope Hexed is good and manages to reach $300 million even competing with SOTR 🙌

‘THE CAT IN THE HAT’ earned $20.5M on its domestic box office opening weekend.
Budget was $92M.
It's crazy to think that everyone thought Forgotten Island and Wildwood would be hits while Hexed would flop, but today it's proving the opposite.
Honestly, FI and Wildwood deserved to have a much better box office like Hexed.

In all honesty, I think Cat in the Hat would be more likely to hurt Disney’s Hexed as Disney’s original animated films aren’t guaranteed hits nowadays (look at Strange World and Wish).

I've come from the future to tell you that #TheCatintheHat is already opening to $20 million, while Hexed is projected to open with $40–50 million over five days. Impressive how these tweets don't age well.
But I really wish both of them were hits.
If #Hexed opens with $45 million, a similar opening weekend to Hoppers with $46 million, that'll be great.
I really hope Disney continues investing in successful original films, I have a feeling Hexed will be very good 🙌

Also, til Walt @DisneyAnimation Studios’ #Hexed hits theaters in 19 days, I got something else to share. Here’s video I got of the final trailer I saw at @AMCTheatres’ Lincoln Square 13 before my @IMAX screening of @NatGeo Documentary Films’ #EverestTheOtherSide. Man, does it look cool in IMAX with the aspect ratio change. I know the new Hunger Games movie has IMAX screens for when it comes out hard and the Cliff Booth movie will claim IMAX screens on Thanksgiving weekend, but if the latter doesn’t gain as much traction as it looks like it might not get, I hope IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond can let Hexed have a week or 2 in IMAX before Dune Part 3 takes ‘em all for 3 weeks on December 18th.
