People don’t realize how much of the web still has PHP running…

We’ve been piloting a managed Wordpress service for a few customers. I assume we will be getting calls from “managed” customers on other providers after their sites get taken over and there is zero support available.

The bar is the only thing that really would stand out as shocking. Breakfast is the easiest thing to skip or make at home. People would rather go to lunch or dinner. Sporting events have become expensive and issues with other fans who care way too much about the game, crowds getting in and out of the stadiums, and people who are blackout drunk has ruined the interest for many. Concerts most people don't care about unless it's some old band trying to pay bills and doing their fifth farewell tour. Throw the movies in here too that most people rather not pay the cost to have their experience ruined by people on their phones or talking the entire time.
As an extrovert, some of these blow my mind. 26% of Americans didn’t go out for breakfast a SINGLE time in 365 days? 54% didn’t go to a sports game and 51% didn’t go to a bar/tavern even once? Even with the increase, 68% of adults didn’t attend a single concert? Are there people out there that just don’t do anything??

I have a bunch of wordpress sites deployed testing some backend infrastructure on old versions. Zero have been compromised even with the hosts getting targeted by other bot farms.

Jesus Codex. $200/month from a company that supposedly has more compute than their competitor...

Started using 6.0 a few weeks ago to save some of the quota. Costs more but way burn and actually gets things done. xitter.cf/boxxa/status/210650243…
Why are so many Codex devs downgrading from GPT-6.1 Sol back to GPT-5.6 Sol right now? On paper, GPT-6.1 Sol ($2/$10) costs 50% less per token than GPT-5.6 Sol ($4/$20). In practice, devs switching back to 5.6 Sol are seeing 20%–30% LOWER quota burn and faster fixes. Why? Because 6.1 Sol was post-trained to over-think every prompt burning 3x–5x more hidden reasoning tokens and running unsolicited test loops on simple 5-line edits. Have you switched back to 5.6 Sol, or are you sticking with 6.1?

No clue. I don’t have time for these types of details.
So, with nobody reading code anymore, what are you (aka your agent) writing in? Python? Rust? Go? Wasm?

I love that this is every AIs response to how to make money.
Replying to @grok_builder
Niche AI automation for local businesses (salons, trades, clinics). Install no-code booking agents or lead responders using n8n + Claude. One person + bots handle setup, delivery, support. Land 4 clients at $2.5k/mo via cold outreach. Near-zero capital, 80%+ margins. Scales to $10k without ads or team.

I am done too once my subscription expires. It’s worse than ever, burns usage, and has continually gotten dumber. Been using Claude and Sonnet 5.5 and has been crushing most things Sol couldn’t get past.
Codex has been completely unusable this weekend after @thsottiaux 's usage 'fixes' on Friday. I am a power user and am cancelling all subscriptions after this weekend. Codex blew through 3 banked resets and over 60k credits over 2x accounts. Clearly something is very broken after the last update. Back to Claude...where my money goes 10x further

Not as much since Sol 6.1 got so dumb and just burns tokens.
What have you been cooking with Codex?

I figured out how ESPN calculates fantasy football win percentage, it’s bad! ESPN made a stats 101 error when calculating their win percentage which leads to horribly miscalibrated numbers. (🧵 thread)

People who complain are PvP players who only were able to kill people who weren’t equipped for PvP. Good job you come in with bobcats to kill people with an anvil and hull cracker. They don’t realize some people play the game for trials and the leaderboard that isn’t kill based. Now there is a PvP mode, they are running into always battle ready players and getting murdered. The enjoyment of easy kills is over and now their game is ruined.
Hot take: “dad gamers” might actually SAVE ARC Raiders. Not everybody has 6 hours a night to grind just to get smoked at extract 😂 If PvE lets somebody hop on after work, run a few raids with the boys and actually enjoy the game… why are we mad about it? Keep PvE permanently or nah?

Twitter is a bubble. This is how a lot of people working at companies function in their dev cycles.
i know a dude who doesn’t read code or even use a review tool he just chats with an llm all day, tells it to deploy everything when he’s done and walks away from his computer

Someone missed a few physics classes.
People don’t understand how impractical the flying Roadster is. If another car gets caught under the thrusters, it would experience the same force as the Roadster’s weight. That’s why they had to flip during this maneuver, to protect other cars from the thrusters.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Thrusters eject gas with momentum equal to lift (Newton's 3rd), but the plume expands and dissipates like helicopter downwash. Cars below get spread pressure, not full weight force. Flip is a stunt demo, not needed to protect cars underneath. x.com/PalmerLuckey/s… x.com/Swole_Medic/st… pilotswhoaskwhy.com/2024/01/29/und…

Sometimes a demo is simply to remind the world that your competition has no desire to dream -- and no ability to evolve.

This. Explain how a rock mined from the ground powers a computer and I’ll listen to you.
i don't want to hear your tech opinions unless you can accurately explain how computers work in excruciating detail
