We may not have a huge following and still way off from our user acquisition targets, but what makes us happy is the small community of users we have, who truly find value in @ResumeyPro When we asked this student user for feedback, she had her mid-terms for which she.. (1/2)

When I was younger, I thought Amazon's wishlist meant they'd surprise-gift it to me one day! 😅

"If one person opens your post five times, that counts as one open" Found @substack's message confusing, why would someone have to open my post 5 times to be counted as open? Do they mean this "If one person opens your post more than 1 time, that still counts as one open"?🤔

If you use Google Suite and Google Meet at work, try out Meaty Meets and share your thoughts. It's free and takes only a couple of minutes to set it up. meatymeets.github.io/

Integrating Google authentication with Chrome extension was a breeze. It opens up so many possibilities without needing a complex setup. Browser extensions are great platforms for implementing low-cost side projects!

🔎 After some research, I discovered Chrome Identity API. Once the client ID and permissions are configured, I could get the user's access token without the need to implement any backend or UI. With the access token, I could fetch upcoming meetings and open the URL on time.

Building a browser extension was the ideal solution since it can open a new tab or window automatically without any user interaction. At work, we use Google Suite and Google Meet, so I set out to solve the problem for myself first

Have you ever accidentally closed a meeting notification and found yourself frantically searching through your calendar for the link at the last minute? 😫 Here's how I built an MVP to automate the process of opening meeting links on time 👇

Stars need to align to make anything with avocado 🥑 1. It's hard to guess if / when it's going to ripen 2. Might look perfect on the outside but could have gone bad inside Both cost and risks are high but I still end up buying them for only one reason: a quick n easy meal 🙈

It was probably not tested on a mobile, but on a mobile sized browser on the desktop where they didn't have to type using an on-screen keyboard

This is probably because only the UI was tested for responsiveness and not the UX. Which is why sometimes simple is better than complex. If it would have been 1 input for all 6 digits, the experience would have been much smoother (and would have taken less dev effort).
