It took more than a DECADE... but finally it’s published!!! It started as a CRAZY idea but after tons of hard work we built it: We hijacked the endogenous secretion systems of Toxoplasma gondii, a brain parasite, to deliver active proteins to neurons 👇

Webb has snapped a direct image of Epsilon Indi Ab: the coldest and most Jupiter-like exoplanet to be imaged so far. To make the discovery, Webb blocked out starlight (shown by the star symbol) with a mask called a coronagraph: go.nasa.gov/3SmQzvE

ALT This image shows the exoplanet Epsilon Indi Ab. The image is mostly black, with blue scale-like features apparent in the central region of the image. At the center of the image, there is a black circle, and in the center, a symbol representing a star. This black circle blocks the light from the host star. To the lower left of the circle is a fuzzy bright orange circle, which is the exoplanet.

Sebastian Cocioba (@ATinyGreenCell) built a laboratory in his home using machines bought off eBay.
His dream is to design flowers. He's already engineered air-purifying houseplants and helped make the world’s first genetically modified Olympic mascot.
His story, in photos...

This is a fluorescence timelapse of MagLOV in E. coli. We're waving a (small) magnet under the plate.

Our 50th pub was a collective effort by our entire Discovery Team. We built a Raman spectrometer, collected samples from a local grocery store, and analyzed the data in just a few days to see what information we could back out of the spectra. This was so much fun!!
