If a story relies on vulgarity without any proportionate moral or spiritual good, Christians have good reason to avoid it. But that doesn't mean that horror is intrinsically sinful. 👇 Watch Below📽️

It's refreshing to hear a bishop address speak as though his back actually had bones in it.
Gosh, I’d love to attend this debate. But I’m pretty sure I have a MAGA rally to attend that night… If you have any doubt that the German Catholic academy has fallen into clownish irrelevance, look no further than this inane and ginned-up “controversy.” Last summer, the vaunted “protest” consisted of 25 desultory septuaginarians holding signs and a statement from the theological faculty of the University of Munster, which was at an undergraduate level of sophistication and which betrayed not the slightest indication of any familiarity with my work. And yes, that sound you hear in the background is Josef Pieper turning in his grave.

"The bread"...
In the time of the Reformation it was a known practice of the Catholic priests to deny the people the cup during communion. They would give them the bread but not allow them to drink of the cup. The logic was that these people might accidentally spill a drop and dishonor the blood of Christ. So, people routinely went forward for communion and were disallowed full participation and obedience to Christ, who instituted both bread and cup in remembrance of his sacrifice and in anticipation of his return. In response to the Protestant complaint that this practice violates Jesus’ commands, the Catholic Church addressed it at the Council of Trent. This is an ecumenical council and is infallible (as far as they are concerned). The council decided that it would be official Catholic teaching that laity who eat only the bread and are refused the cup have done enough. They don’t need the cup. A small but important moment demonstrating how false teaching gets enshrined and how Catholics are bound by their magisterium in ways that can keep them from obeying Jesus. Countless Catholics will go to Mass this Sunday and be given only the bread, being denied the cup. Though they do make some exceptions for special feast days. Jesus and the apostles did one thing and the Roman Catholic authority does another.

With all the talk of exorcists spiritualizing everything... I've always found it extremely interesting that the Forth Lateran Council decrees that medical (including mental health) afflictions should be seen to by a priest before a physician to rule out spiritual malady first.

Yep. AI was invented so that things that aren't real can seem real.
This is what AI was invented for Mormons vs Catholics:

Guy who is nothing more than an OnlyFans performer has icky feelings about the Catholic Church. Maybe that's 'cause your feelings are ruled by your lowest appetites and the Catholic Church is the only voice left in the modern world opposed to that condition.
The catholic church feels Satanic

There's probably a lot of truth to this is if, by horror, you mean content that is only meant to terrify and disturb. But I'll say that Bram Stoker's Dracula is one of the most Christian novels I've read in a while.

If freedom is the standard to defend your choices, you have to allow other people the freedom to criticize them. The Shane Gillis controversy shows why freedom can’t settle moral disputes. Eventually, we need a standard beyond “Do what I want.” 📽️ 👇 youtube.com/watch?v=g6VY4DkL…

"But if the new Narnia trailer will thrill fans of early-1970s heavy rock, CS Lewis diehards will have a tougher time with it. The blend of garish computer effects and thumping proto-metal will confirm their worst fears: that Gerwig has a loose grasp on the source material and is more interested in making a glam-rock opera than doing justice to a beloved series of children’s novels. "Nobody would, for instance, dare give a glam-rock makeover to Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Game of Thrones, so why should Narnia be subjected to such cheeky revisionism? Hollywood certainly wouldn’t dream of gender-swapping Gandalf or mad Prince Joffrey, as Netflix essentially has by having Meryl Streep voice Aslan. That casting choice has already been called “an act of creative vandalism” by CS Lewis devotees." Well worth a free login to read the whole thing. telegraph.co.uk/films/2026/1…

CS Lewis died at time when Led Zeppelin would have been the most extreme form of subversion against the classical culture he adored. You will never convince me that he would have approved of any of these attempts to "reimagine" his creative legacy.

When Catholics use miracles as evidence - like Marian apparitions, they're inevitably met with claims that these are demonic in nature. So what criteria can we use to tell the difference between divine miracles and demonic activity? 📽️ Watch Below 👇
