I hate to say that the nefarious actor is the one leading a witch hunt because people can't behave like adults online.
And that is strawb.
Criticise Ember for everything, he deserves a lot, but Strawb and the girlies are adults behaving like mean girl teens with a bible underhand

Strawb can't go a month without picking some idiotic slap fight, and has actively tried to scalp other Vtubers in the circle.
Yeah, I'm not trusting her.
Especially when the story gets muddier every time one of these dipshits posts.

Damn did something happen to strawb in the past couple of months thag could have cause this? Dude like kir said it is so sad seeing how many people are just ok with what ember did because they are on your side.

So everyone involved are liars and can't keep a story straight.
Good to know.
The West will be saved any day now.

Strawb didn't invited him to the group, she was invited to the group when it was just Ember, Celeste and Maria
Ember admitted this on stream

All of this overreaction just because of "oh think of the children" moral panic over fiction and drawings.

Discord nuked the To Love-Ru anime server; it is 9 years old and account get limited & suspended people who never posted in it.
It was a long-running, well-known server for the series, not a small or obscure one.
All content was anime-style art/AI of adult TLR characters. There are no real-life media. Mostly old material from years ago. Activity had dropped off. Lurkers still got “child safety” strikes.
Plenty of other servers post the same (or more) and are still running. Discord just picked this one.
Everyone has reported that people who were violated or permanently suspended have applied the appeal. One week later Discord confirmed that the violation should stay.

Kinda funny that Strawb's community is exactly what people accuse mine of being.
This is the same person who came into my drama Discord to tell me people were being mean to Rima and I needed to be nicer.
I'm not mad about it at all. I just think it's a funny full-circle moment given the history.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in North Carolina after an HOA just DOUBLED monthly fees to **$2,500/MONTH** for homeowners who were paying just $158/month just five years ago...
...and the homeowners say the HOA board tried to charge homeowners $7,500/MONTH JUST IN HOA FEES!!!!!!!
On Monday night, the board backed off $7,500...
...but voted to DOUBLE fees to $2,500 a month instead.
Yes, $30,000 a year just to LIVE IN YOUR HOME THAT YOU BOUGHT.
Nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what families were paying a few years ago.
Families who bought what they thought were their forever homes are now being told to pay $30,000 a year in HOA fees, or GO INTO FORECLOSURE!!!!!!
The neighborhood is Magnolia Cove in Sherrills Ford, Catawba County NC.
Jill Menson and her husband bought their house believing it would be their LAST home and five years ago, their HOA fee was $158 a month.
This summer it shot up to more than $1,200.
Plus a $10,000 ASSESSMENT on top of that.
On Monday night, the HOA board voted to raise fees AGAIN, from $1,250 to $2,500 a month.
That’s nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what they paid five years ago.
And the meeting?
It was held over ZOOM.
Menson says they’ll be forced out with nowhere to go, because no one will buy a house carrying fees like that.
So they went to the state for help.
The North Carolina Attorney General’s office told Channel 9 there are NO STATUTES limiting how much an HOA can charge.
None.
As long as the board follows its own documents, it can charge whatever it wants.
In Jill Menson’s words:
“Nobody is helping us.”
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!

xitter.cf/sophontsimp/status/211… it’s not that the cyberskeleton/capri are too weird or silly it’s that they have capabilities whose ramifications are totally ignored by the setting. Cyberskeleton implies drone/vehicles should be far, far more performant and capable than anything shown, Capri implies magneto powers everywhere.

So you dudes did a gay op to entrap the guy.
Instead of just.... talking with him in private over him saying he was a chick?

So the story seems to be:
Strawb found out Ember is a dude. She sat on the info, still pretended to be friends with him, and invited him to a group chat of other Vtubers that had their husbands in it.
They then took his posts out of context to make him seem like a predator.
The other men who were our husbands and one other male vtuber who was added later for a collab weeks later by you. the original members were me, Celeste and Ember assuming all of us were female considering the group chat you were in was named "vfoid/glizzy gals". The train comment was also made in a chat that only had me, Celeste, Ember, and my husband in it.
Were those strictly female only spaces? technically no and I don't think I ever personally claimed they were.
It still doesn't change the fact that I would not have interacted with Ember in the way that I did or would have been okay with the way he interacted with me if I had known he was a man.

Its mostly a comparison.
People will downplay the actions of someone they like because "They were nice to me"
Applies to Ember as well.
I think people need to be principled and recognize snakes and not brush them off because they glaze you or get you opportunities

My biggest complaint with this post is "women don't try and enter men's spaces."
Women have been doing this for decades. They literally go to court to force their way into men's spaces. It is quite literally ILLEGAL for men to keep women out of our spaces.
Men don't care about this because we've been told for over a century they it is morally wrong to police a space like this, not because it doesn't happen.
So what happens when you come to a group of people, who you have told it is wrong to prevent the other gender from entering your community that they are wrong for trying to enter your community?
I hate the line people keep saying about "Oh I don't care about who's behind the avatar", like I don't really care about that either until it becomes relevant. Ember spoke from the perspective of a woman on political topics, and particularly enraging for me is forming friendships with women on the back of their trust.
Us men don't really relate because we don't have shit like this, women don't try to infiltrate our safe spaces pretending to be men, but women have always wanted their own spaces because they are a different kind of creature to us. It's really really gross to deceive people who trusted you.
This is the only real issue.
No one would have cared if Ember had said from the start that they were a man, or they made it clear that they were kayfabe.
A lot of people would think that's weird, but that's OK. There are a lot of weirdos in the VTuber space, and a lot of them are men with voice changers.
But if you're going to interact with people and prefice the interaction based on the perceived notion that you're something you're not, then you're going to be in hot water if / when the truth comes out.
This is especially true when you're a man trying to assert themselves as a woman in a space where many people have strong opinions on transgenderism / trans-adjacent topics, and most likely would not have been accepted into that space (or at the very least treated the same way) if they presented otherwise.
However, the way the issue was brought to light was genuinely treacherous.
Ember was currently in an argument with someone far more degenerate. Who, by all reasonable doubt, represented everything that Strawb is supposedly against.
During that argument, Strawb decided it was the best time to drop information about Ember that she had apparently been sitting on for MONTHS.
In other words, Strawb DELIBERATELY attacked someone who was on her side, as they were fighting the enemy.
That's like someone being drafted to the frontlines with their neighbor, then shooting them in the back in the middle of war.
It's not like Strawb couldn't contact Ember, or anyone else directly. They were all mutuals as far as I know. How hard would it have been to DM the few people Ember had done a collab with and address this directly? Even an unprompted tag in a post would have been better than what she did.
This entire situation seems like intentional dramawhoring on Strawb's side, even if she is technically correct in her assessment.
TL;DR
Both Strawb and Ember should be scrutinized for betraying peoples trust. Strawb isn't a hero, even if she tries to LARP as one.
