One thing I've noticed about #Dune discourse on Twitter is how some people confidently repeat Herbert's warning about "charismatic leaders", as if it's such a simple message to grasp, yet seem to completely miss and/or omit an important distinction.
I constantly see "Paul is the bad guy...don't you understand Dune? Herbert is warning us about charismatic leaders"
The warning isn't JUST about the leaders themselves. It's about the PEOPLE who follow them and the terrible things they're willing to do in their name, whether the leader wants them to or not.
Paul becomes the figurehead of a religious movement that eventually grows beyond his ability to control it, but the Fremen are/were ideologically radicalized, long before Paul arrived. They have their own religious convictions, their own motivations, and are so ideologically radicalized that they're willing to commit atrocities in his name, even when those atrocities go against his wishes.
It's the idea that people can be so fanatically devoted to someone that they essentially abandon their own moral judgment and justify just about anything in that person's name. It doesn't even have to be Paul. They're just waiting for anyone who fit the mold of prophet to give them the "go ahead".
Once again, the danger being not simply what a charismatic leader might do with power. It's what THE PEOPLE are willing to do FOR that leader, even without being asked.
The people parroting it often times don't realize....THEY'RE the Danger.

I do not mean to sound dramatic but post this emudhra should simply not be allowed to continue as a business.
this is the same as if delhivery picked up all your product from ecomms and threw it in trash and delivered an empty box to you every single time.

I think what is actually needed is for Indian people to actually give a damn about their cities and fellow citizens.
Anybody using the "I pay taxes, I shouldn't have to do anything" excuse should go live in another country. India isn't developed, it's developing, so it needs patriots, not parasites. If this triggers you, it means you're part of the problem.
If you're not happy with the footpath (or a pothole, or anything else which is broken), fix it, or call someone to fix it, and don't give up until it's fixed. Be relentless. Be vocal. Be creative. Make it your mission to get that one thing fixed. Look at what Virendra (@Virendra0698) did by just calling the right people and being respectful (but also persistent). He and Arun Pai (@arunpaiblrwalks) along with the help of GBA and some wonderful volunteers turned an unofficial garbage dump into a pristine, beautiful footpath through sheer force of will.

“All 8 billion people alive should love and tolerate each other”
Replying to @ohcrapohno
You recognize this and instead of going “race mixing is evil” like a logical person your solution is to force all 8 billion people alive to love and tolerate each other
