The Chicago Blackhawks set an NHL record in 1968 when their entire roster looked like a bunch of 48-year-old dads who expected their daughter home by 9:00 pm and you didn’t want to find out what was gonna happen to you at 9:02.

Nine writers didn’t vote for Hank Aaron to make the Hall of Fame in 1982. I don’t know if any of these assholes are still alive but if any of them happen to see this, fuuuuck you.

Jason, you don’t know Pittsburgh if you don’t think his play at QB generated the rumor. Ask Terry Bradshaw how he was treated early in his career. Talk to Mark Malone. See if you can find some video of Cliff Stoudt’s return to Pgh with a USFL team. And none of those guys is black. Lots of Steelers fans tend to take Steelers football a little too seriously and a little too personally.

This end of game has been atrocious. My goodness. Even if we win, this game management at the end needs to be questioned thoroughly. This is devoid of all logic.

Willie Stargell had an epic Game 7 in the 1979 World Series, going 4-for-5 and putting Pittsburgh ahead for good with his two-run shot in the sixth inning. Nearly four decades passed before a player topped his Fall Classic record of 25 total bases. ow.ly/lSnv50ZYJnk

💯
The most idiotic talking point about the expanded Playoff is that it will lead to better non-conference scheduling. No coach in America is gonna see a postseason format that requires them to play up to FIVE ADDITIONAL GAMES and think “let’s make our regular season more grueling.”

This is one of the most incredible moments of Mike Ditka’s life. He flatly took no shit. True Western Pennsylvanian. Show him respect, he did likewise. But he wasn’t a privileged man-and didn’t shy away fights. Also “250 North Worshington” is correct pronunciation, as he says.

Super Sky Point to Mike Ditka. I moved to Chicago in 2003, over a decade after “Da Coach” prowled the sidelines at Soldier Field for the final time. Yet his presence has always felt current. He arrived in 1961, a crew cut chunk of granite who hauled in a dozen touchdowns as a Pro Bowl rookie tight end. A quarter of a century later, he was carried off the field in glory at Super Bowl XX. Four decades later, his shadow casts large as ever over the banks of Lake Michigan as the only Bears head coach to ever hoist that precious Lombardi. He’s beloved in this town for many reasons. Because he always said what he meant and meant what he said - even if sometimes he shouldn’t have said it. Because he loved the common man. Because even when he was an asshole, he was OUR asshole. Walter Payton is the greatest Bear. Dick Butkus is the most violent. George Halas will always be Papa Bear. But no one, and I mean no one, better represents what it means to be a Chicago Bear, or a Chicago Bears fan, than Mike Fucking Ditka. St. Peter, grab a helmet, because today he’s young again. #RIP

If you don’t think some guy in a windbreaker with an .063 career batting average feebly trying to hit Nolan Ryan was entertaining we’ll have to agree to disagree … 👉 super70ssportsstore.com/prod…

Perhaps this is all a ploy by the Penguins to avoid having to defend a third-period lead, since that's been such a problem lately.

New Cowboys CB Joey Porter Jr. was at practice today, wearing No. 25, going through individual drills. He was moving around well, working with Christian Parker. It seems possible that he could play Sunday
