"Virtue signalling" is the explanation you come up with if people having empathy is totally beyond your understanding.

You've got to feel for Tory donors. As Colin from Portsmouth says, these days you can't even be racist without being called a racist 😪

A quick reminder about Lee Anderson. He did not succeed in the Tory party despite being dreadful. He succeeded because he was dreadful inews.co.uk/opinion/lee-ande…

A few days late to this debate, but I think part of the reason satirical depictions of fascism, especially in sci-fi settings, often struggle and are adopted by fascists is they tend to make the fascists good at war, a thing fascists value, but were historically rubbish at. 1/

It isn't news that he fundamentally doesn't understand how anything works, but it still astounds me that Trump conceives of NATO as a tributary empire, where states pay us for protection, rather than, you know, an alliance where we all pay for our armies & fight together.
Wow. Trump says he’d encourage Russia to attack our European allies. How can any patriotic American support this traitor? Never Trump!

As we've known for some time now, Trump is pro-Putin. Indeed, he's attracted to most demagogues, because he himself aspires to be one.
Trump says he would encourage Russia to attack NATO allies: I said I would not protect our NATO allies. In fact, I would encourage Russia to do whatever the hell they want

Finally, a bona fide Brexit benefit!
Replying to @jburnmurdoch
The answer almost certainly lies in Brexit. Up until the EU referendum, the share of young Britons who said they "strongly dislike" the Conservative party was steady at 20%. Since the vote to leave the EU it has climbed steadily and is now double that level.
