This 90 second film:
- Had no crew
- Shot in 4 hours
- Uses no dialogue
- Was made up on the spot
- Wasn't submitted to festivals
But became one of my most viral films, racking up 100K views this week alone (10 years on).
Sometimes the smallest ones yield the biggest results.
Republicans watch Fox. That audience has their channel. I don’t think pushing CBS right is gonna get those people. And normies think the new direction smells funny.
I don’t use TikTok, but for those who do, is it the hot mess people are saying it is? I just watched a video about it, and it seems like it’s being massively iron fisted to support the admin and eliminate dissent.
I had a town hall meeting about how I want a Delorean to turn into a Time Machine and go back to the 80’s.
It’s nice to have dreams.
Bari Weiss told CBS News staffers during a town hall meeting Tuesday morning that she wants the network to focus more intently on the growing audience on digital and social media, rather than trying to retain viewers of its broadcast TV programs.
“I am here to make CBS News fit for purpose in the 21st century.”

This isn’t political, this moment. This is sociopathy versus the rest of the world, dressed up as a political party, made of people that seek cruelty to fill whatever hole they have in themselves. And they’re failing.
In the investment market, you’re seeing a lot of movement towards gold, which can indicate that leveraged investment is slowing, and that’s not great for an economy deeply leveraged into AI…which has always seemed very risky.
"Heated Rivalry" star Hudson Williams on the challenge of navigating a flood of new opportunities:
“Do I read 10 pages? Do I just read the log line? What do we say no to before really giving it the full time of day? Because I simply do not have the time if I just sat and read everything to finish all these scripts in time to give an answer to these people.”

The “Tilly Norwood” thing always just seemed like a press stunt. So many folks are focusing on it but it never seemed a thing to take seriously.
#ChrisPratt calls the buzz around AI actress Tilly Norwood “bullshit”: “I’ve never seen her in a movie. I don’t know who this bitch is.”
You can find a lot of great cameras on Ebay. Problem is it's not always easy to get the footage out, batteries are hard to find, etc. Personally, if you can find a good condition Canon HV30 that thing is a beast. You can do a feature with that one for sure.

Kinda love this “low cost camcorder no budget ‘vintage’ film” notion. As a certified lenshead, are there cameras you would recommend? Is one better for those new to filmmaking? Would you suggest using it to do something period or modern day?
I wonder if an unintended effect of generative AI is a move towards a reduction in fidelity — which might allow creatives to find audiences with less production spends. Which is a good thing, in my opinion.
