My brother Hazem endured displacement, hunger, and the devastation of genocide, yet still excelled in his high school exams after a two-year delay caused by the genocide.
He earned a scholarship to study in Ireland and spent nearly a year preparing his documents, completing his English requirements, and meeting every criterion. After finally receiving admission, his visa was refused.
After years of effort, sacrifice, and hope, can all of Hazem’s hard work really end with a single visa refusal?

It might not mean anything to anybody else but I achieved a small milestone in my recovery yesterday. I was able to walk 1 km on the treadmill uninterrupted and at a constant pace. 🥹
