Congrats to Jackson Chourio, William Contreras, and Antonio Senzatela for winning the World Baseball Classic and the World Series in the same year🇻🇪
Best pitching WPA in a single postseason
1. 2001 Curt Schilling: 2.07
2. 2026 AARON ASHBY: 1.78
3. 2014 Madison Bumgarner: 1.58
As it stands, the youngest hitter to win World Series MVP was Jeremy Peña/Bobby Richardson at 24 years old.
22 year old Jackson Chourio seems very likely to break that record.

First article is UP on @JustBaseballMedia's website, it's my offseason plan with in-depth breakdowns of each move and why I chose to mock those players to the Yankees.
For a Yankees franchise at this stage of a contention window, 2026 felt like a missed opportunity.
Our @RyanGarciaMLB has more on how they can avoid that same fate in 2027:

2026 Postseason Aaron Ashby: 1.44 WPA
2003 Postseason Mariano Rivera: 1.42 WPA
Aaron Ashby has a better WPA these playoffs than any single run of the GOATs career.
With just one out in the first, Logan Henderson has already tied a career high in runs allowed in a start.
I don't know if I have seen anyone mention it, but Anthony Kay in 2026 hit more batters in a single-season than any pitcher has since 1910.
21% of the 2026 Brewers pitches in the playoffs have been 99 MPH or harder.
No other team with at least 1,000 team pitches in a single playoff run had a mark above 8%.
