$FLOAT 🤔
The next project I want to cover is $FLOAT
I've been keeping an eye on Float since its launch, but instead of focusing only on the chart or the narrative, I wanted to dig deeper into how the platform actually works, where its revenue comes from, and whether it has a realistic chance of competing with established players like StonkFun
After going through its mechanics, early performance, and recent team updates, I found a few things worth paying attention to
That said, there are also some obvious risks that I think everyone should understand before getting involved
Here's my breakdown
1. What exactly is Float building?
Float is a new memecoin launchpad on Solana that launched around October 28, 2026, using Raydium LaunchLab
What makes it different is its approach to trading pairs
Instead of limiting memecoins to traditional pairs like MEME/SOL, Float allows tokens to be paired with tokenized stocks, pre-IPO assets, and other crypto assets
These include assets associated with NVDA, TSLA, MCD, OpenAI, Anthropic, ZEC, XMR, HYPE, and more
Users can still trade with SOL, while the platform handles the conversion into the paired asset in the background
One thing worth clarifying: pairing a memecoin with tokenized NVDA doesn't mean that token represents NVIDIA shares or has any official relationship with the company
The idea is to combine memecoin speculation with tokenized assets while redistributing part of the trading fees back to participants
Their main narrative is "Fix the Trenches"
It's not an entirely new concept, but I think Float has introduced a few interesting changes to how this model works
2. Tokenomics and fee distribution
This is probably the most interesting part of $FLOAT for me
Instead of collecting trading fees and keeping most of the revenue within the platform, Float has introduced a fee-sharing mechanism
According to the project's published model, after Raydium's share is deducted, the remaining eligible fees are distributed as follows :
> 35% goes toward buying back and burning $FLOAT
> 35% goes into a USDC airdrop pool for traders
> 15% is distributed to holders in the corresponding paired assets
> 5% goes to token creators
> 10% goes to the platform treasury
It's important to understand that the 35% buyback allocation comes from eligible trading fees, not total trading volume
For example, if the platform generates $100K in distributable fees, approximately $35K would be allocated to buying back and burning $FLOAT
This creates a direct connection between launchpad activity and buying pressure for its flagship token
However, I wouldn't describe this as guaranteed revenue for $FLOAT holders
Holding $FLOAT doesn't automatically entitle you to 35% of platform fees in cash. The potential benefit comes from market buybacks and a reduction in token supply
The 15% holder rewards mainly apply to holders of tokens launched through Float, rather than automatically rewarding every $FLOAT holder
Overall, I think the mechanism makes sense
But its effectiveness depends on one simple thing :
volume
Without consistent trading activity, fee generation declines, which means weaker buybacks and smaller rewards
3. Can Float actually fix the memecoin trenches?
One of the biggest problems in the current memecoin market is bundling, snipers, aggressive early supply accumulation, and endless copycat launches
Float is attempting to address some of these issues through two mechanisms
First, tokens launch at an initial market cap of approximately $20K, significantly higher than launch models that start at just a few thousand dollars
In theory, a higher starting valuation makes accumulating a large percentage of supply more capital-intensive, potentially reducing the advantage of early bundling groups
But that doesn't mean bundling becomes impossible
Well-funded groups can still accumulate supply, and a higher starting market cap doesn't automatically guarantee deeper liquidity
The second mechanism is anti-vamping
If a ticker already exists on Float, creating another token with the same ticker costs 1 SOL
I actually like this small change
It increases the cost of repeatedly copying tickers or spamming launches, rather than allowing people to create endless duplicates almost for free
Of course, this mechanism only applies within Float itself. It can't prevent similar tokens from launching elsewhere
So while Float is trying to improve the launch experience, I wouldn't say it has completely solved the problems of the trenches
4. How good are Float's early numbers?
Based on the analytics snapshot from the morning of October 30, Float has recorded :
> Around 380 tokens launched
> 71 stocks/assets available as trading pairs
> Approximately $78.4K in trading fees
> Around $27.52K allocated to $FLOAT buybacks and burns
> 17.63M $FLOAT burned, representing approximately 1.76% of the initial supply
> Around $10.56K distributed to holders, with another $1.07K pending
> Approximately $27.52K accumulated in the trader airdrop vault
> 3 tokens graduated to Raydium
For a launchpad that's only been operating for about 1–2 days, I think these numbers are a decent start
The fact that more than 17M $FLOAT has reportedly been burned is particularly interesting because it suggests the buyback mechanism is already being used, rather than existing only as a promise
Still, these are platform-reported figures that should be independently verified on-chain
There's another number I want to highlight
Out of roughly 380 launched tokens, only 3 have graduated
That's less than 1%
I wouldn't necessarily call that terrible for such a new launchpad, but it tells us that most activity is still concentrated around the bonding curve stage
More importantly, I haven't seen a token launched on Float become a genuine runner that sustains a significant market cap and attracts attention across the broader Solana community
And that's exactly what I want to see next
A launchpad can generate hundreds of tokens per day, but if none of them achieve meaningful success, keeping traders interested over the long term becomes difficult
So I'd describe Float's initial traction as encouraging, but nowhere near enough to confirm product-market fit
5. Float vs. StonkFun
If you've followed my previous posts about launchpads and buyback mechanisms, you've probably noticed that Float shares quite a few similarities with StonkFun
Both explore the combination of memecoins and tokenized stocks, while using a portion of platform revenue to support their flagship tokens
However, their fee distribution models are different
StonkFun reportedly allocates around 60% of fees under its model toward buybacks, while Float allocates 35% of its eligible fees toward buying back and burning $FLOAT
In exchange, Float directs another 35% toward USDC trader airdrops and 15% toward holder rewards
To me, this is a clear trade-off
StonkFun puts more emphasis on generating buying pressure for its flagship token
Float is trying to distribute incentives more broadly across traders, holders, and creators
Assuming the same amount of eligible fees, StonkFun has the advantage in terms of the percentage allocated to buybacks
However, comparing actual buyback amounts requires looking at how each platform calculates and distributes its fees
In terms of track record, StonkFun is clearly ahead
It has been operating longer, has generated more trading activity, and has had more time to prove its model under different market conditions
Float, meanwhile, is just getting started
That's why I don't think introducing a few new mechanisms automatically makes Float a better platform
What Float needs to prove is whether these changes are compelling enough to convince traders to actually use it instead of its competitors
6. Team, roadmap, and upcoming catalysts
One positive thing I've noticed is how quickly the Float team has been updating the platform
Shortly after launch, they expanded their available trading pairs from tokenized stocks into pre-IPO assets, privacy-related assets like ZEC/XMR, and assets associated with HYPE and ICE
The team has also addressed issues involving holder rewards for users trading through terminals
On top of that, they've been publishing updates about launched tokens, trading fees, buybacks, and rewards
I generally prefer this approach over projects that spend all their time marketing without delivering anything tangible
However, Float still doesn't have a clearly defined long-term roadmap
Most updates currently revolve around adding trading pairs, improving reward distribution, and adjusting incentives
The most important upcoming catalyst is the first airdrop, scheduled for November 4, 2026, at 17:00 UTC
According to the team's announcement, the top 100 traders ranked by trading volume will share the accumulated USDC airdrop vault
After the first distribution, the team is also considering a broader reward model that would include more participating wallets rather than focusing exclusively on top traders
This could be a meaningful short-term catalyst
But there's one risk I think deserves more attention :
volume farming
When rewards are distributed based on trading volume, some wallets may repeatedly buy and sell simply to climb the leaderboard rather than because they're genuinely interested in trading tokens on Float
That can make activity look impressive in the short term without necessarily reflecting real market demand
If the expected rewards exceed the cost of generating that volume, the incentive to farm becomes even stronger
That's why I'm less interested in how much volume Float generates immediately before November 4 and more interested in how many users and how much trading activity remain after the airdrop
That will be a much better test of whether the platform can actually retain traders
Another concern is transparency
Based on the information available to me, the team remains anonymous, I haven't found a publicly confirmed independent audit, and there hasn't been a major partnership announcement or clear backing from top-tier CT KOLs
None of this automatically means something is wrong with the project
But it does increase the risk of getting involved with such an early-stage platform
7. $FLOAT chart and my trading plan
Now, back to $FLOAT itself
Looking at the 5-minute chart, the token initially rallied toward the $2.5–2.6M market cap range before pulling back to around $1.5M
This is a fairly typical pattern for newly launched platform tokens
Volume explodes during the initial hype, then gradually cools down as early participants start taking profits
What I don't particularly like is that $FLOAT hasn't managed to reclaim its previous highs
Trading volume has also declined significantly compared to the launch period
At approximately $1.52M market cap, I'm not interested in FOMO just because the narrative sounds promising
If I'm looking for an entry, my first area of interest would be around $1.2–1.4M MC
This zone has shown some price reactions on the chart, and if buyers step in again, it could offer a more reasonable risk/reward setup
However, if $1.2M breaks decisively without meaningful buying support, I wouldn't try to catch the bottom blindly
For a bullish continuation, I'd want to see $FLOAT reclaim the $1.7–1.9M range first
Only then would I start looking toward a potential retest of $2.2–2.6M
These are simply technical areas based on the short-term chart, not guaranteed support or resistance levels
I'll also be monitoring actual buyback activity, burn rates, and platform volume before making any decisions
For a token this new, even a good-looking chart won't convince me if the underlying platform is losing traction
8. My overall assessment
After looking into Float, I think it's an interesting project worth watching, but not something I'd be comfortable taking a large position in right now
I like that the team has a working product, a relatively transparent fee distribution model, and early evidence of actual buyback activity
The "Fix the Trenches" narrative also makes sense in a market where traders are increasingly frustrated with bundling, snipers, and unfair launches
But Float's biggest challenge is still proving that people will keep using the platform
Launching 380 tokens sounds impressive, but only 3 have graduated, and we haven't seen a truly significant runner emerge yet
Buybacks can support $FLOAT when the platform generates revenue, but they don't guarantee price appreciation
For Float to become something more substantial, I want to see successful token launches, sustainable volume after the first airdrop, and traders returning even without aggressive incentives
If those things happen, $FLOAT could become an interesting competitor in the Solana launchpad sector
For now, I like the concept more than I like the idea of chasing the token at its current valuation
I'd rather wait for a better entry and trade it based on actual market activity than treat it as a long-term hold this early
Memecoins are for trading, and a buyback mechanism alone isn't enough reason to hold through everything
What do you guys think? Can Float realistically compete with StonkFun?

Introducing fluke.
Long or short any Hyperliquid address. With SOL. Instantly.
Hyperliquid is fully public. Every position of every whale is on-chain for anyone to see. Until now all you could do was watch them win or lose. On fluke you can finally bet on them, or against them.
What it is:
fluke turns every Hyperliquid account into a chart. When the whale makes money, the chart goes up. When it loses, the chart goes down. Paste any Hyperliquid address (a top trader, a fund, a famous wallet), pick a side, and you’re in. No Hyperliquid account needed, no bridging, no USDC. Just SOL.
How it works:
→ Deposit SOL from your wallet. It shows up in seconds.
→ Paste any Hyperliquid address, or pick a whale from the board.
→ Go long or short at 2x, 5x or 10x. It fills instantly at the whale’s live value.
→ Your P&L moves live with the whale. If the whale’s account drops 10%, your 2x short is up about 20%.
→ Close whenever you want. Withdraw to your wallet any time.
Every whale is a chart:
The chart moves only with the whale’s trading: its perps, its spot, its staked HYPE, priced live from Hyperliquid’s own feed. Deposits and withdrawals never move it, so nobody can pump a chart by adding money.
Why you always get filled:
Every trade is taken by the fluke pool. It’s the other side of every long and every short, so you never wait for a counterparty. 80% of every trading fee goes back into the pool.
Why it’s built to be fair:
→ Every fill checks the live value against its 30-second average, so being a second faster than us doesn’t pay.
→ A whale running over 10x can’t take new trades until it calms down.
→ You can only ever lose what you put in. No debt, ever.
→ Every deposit and withdrawal is a real Solana transaction you can check on Solscan.
Where it goes from here:
80% of trading fees and 80% of $Fluke fees flow straight into the pool. A deeper pool means bigger positions and more whales open at once. More volume, more depth, more traders.

Bigger trades are live on inverse 📈
We just upgraded how much the pool can take on:
→ ~3x more room on every coin
→ position limits now grow automatically with the pool
→ the bigger the pool, the bigger the trades you can open
And the pool keeps growing: 60% of every solana:2gLhk8p2KvUFeUXur2hiF4hxjdRM1vBcbgo9Q7DMZfiw creator fee flows straight into it.
More room, bigger trades, bigger wins. Same safety: every position still has its max win set aside, breakers and rug guard still on.

everything you need to know about the first Float airdrop 🪂
Wednesday, Nov 4 at 17:00 UTC
the airdrop vault has no withdraw function. the only way USDC can leave it is a payout to traders, and anyone can verify it on Solscan:
JEK3WrPuiePy8vYmzN7Xfk6YoMChbsiqzBs7X43y3snH
→ the vault is already at $32.74K in USDC and grows with every trade until the snapshot. 35% of all platform fees go straight into it
→ the top 100 traders on Float by total volume split the whole vault, in proportion to their volume. the more you trade, the bigger your share
→ bots are excluded. wallets our indexer flags as bots are removed before the top 100 is picked, so those spots and that USDC go to real traders instead
→ nothing to claim. USDC is sent straight to your wallet when the airdrop runs

Pump.fun just introduced packs in its mobile app, allowing users to open collectible packs with USDC and potentially pull insane rewards that can be instantly sold or listed on the marketplace.
I want to take this new feature and turn it into an actual on-chain flywheel.
I made $PACKS - a project paired with $PUMP, where creator fees are continuously used to open packs directly inside the Pump.fun app.
packs.cash/
Every collectible we pull gets sold, and 100% of the proceeds flow back into the ecosystem:
50% goes to instant buybacks and burns of $PACKS.
50% is automatically distributed as rewards to $PACKS holders.
The more activity the token generates, the more packs we open. The more valuable the pulls, the more value flows back to the token and its holders.
Turning Pump.fun’s newest feature into a self-sustaining memecoin flywheel.
