I am Métis. I have never received a single penny from the government for being Métis. I have had a successful life BECAUSE I do not receive money from the government. Maybe if more Indigenous got off government funds, they would find a way to success for themselves.
Approximately 1.8 million people in Canada identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit). Over the past 10–11 years alone, the federal government has directed roughly $250–300 billion toward Indigenous programs, services, transfers, and settlements—primarily benefiting First Nations communities. Despite this scale of spending, Indigenous people continue to experience the highest poverty rates, the highest incarceration rates, and the highest rates of homicide victimization in Canada. Repeating the same approach year after year while expecting substantially different outcomes is not a viable strategy. A fundamental change in policy and delivery is needed.

Exactly. This election in some ways was a proxy for the popular will in a Trudeau 2025 election. Instead switcheroo candidate Carney masterfully and cynically played the Trump card and continues to. Eby’s failed gambit to play it is a significant factor with national relevance.
Progressives blaming Eby’s defeat in the election timing are totally missing the point. The whole purpose of the early election was to try to overcome the government’s unpopularity rooted in its poor outcomes. The real problem was the cumulative cost of Eby’s ideological agenda. His government was the last holdout of the failures of Trudeauian progressivism: a subordination of economic growth in favour of deficit financed welfare spending, a dogmatic commitment to climate change and its anti-development effects, excessive identity politics and an overly self critical posture towards Canadian history, and its radical experiment with the harm reduction model. Election timing and campaign choices didn’t defeat the Eby government. A broad cross-section of British Columbians—from rural parts of the province to downtown Vancouver—rejected it based on the self-evident failure of its ideas.

Carney want Canadian taxpayers to pony up tens of billions for his Defence, Security, and Resilience Bank, the projected cost is 118 billion with Canada providing the biggest chunk spread over three years. The Defence, Security, and Resilience Bank (DSRB) is a new, Canada-led multinational financial institution designed to provide low-cost, long-term financing for allied military, security, and resilience projects such as tampons in allies mens washrooms Because Canada is the largest economy among the nine founding countries (following rejections from the UK Germany, France and Italy) its share of the upfront paid-in capital is expected to be significant.

💥NEW REPORT: The Government has decided to HIRE the same foreign SCAMMERS involved in the Driver Inc. trucking scandal, despite the fraud, safety risks, and illegal activities they uncovered—to save on costs. Making Canada the only place on earth where illegal activity by foreigners is encouraged by governance.

Mark Carney promised to spend less. Instead, he doubled Trudeau's deficits. Now, interest on Liberal debt will cost a family of 4 about $6,000. On Tuesday, Conservatives will move to call the Prime Minister before the Finance Committee to ask him how he plans to cut deficits, debt interest, and taxes to save Canadians money.

Remember Canada, Carney's government met "secretly" with Soros
When the Soros heir celebrates an election, you can be sure there's more to the story. Let's look at who Alex Soros actually is. He chairs the Open Society Foundations, the largest private political-philanthropy machine on the planet. His father put over $32 billion into it. Over three decades it has handed out more than 50,000 grants, over $24 billion, to NGOs, activist groups, media outlets, legal networks and "civil society" organizations in scores of countries. Its annual budget is still well over a billion dollars. He also chairs Democracy PAC, the family's political war chest. This cycle alone it has poured more than $100 million into Democratic campaigns, making the Soros family the single largest individual donor of the 2026 midterms. Alex himself said he's "more political" than his father. Shortly after taking over, he was meeting with Schumer, Trudeau, and yes, Lula. So no, this isn't a random guy cheering for democracy. This is the man who funds the ecosystem, celebrating the result. Now look at what that ecosystem pushes. No one has bankrolled the open-borders movement like Open Society: migrant advocacy groups, legal challenges to every enforcement measure, NGOs lobbying for asylum without limits. In 2015 George Soros wrote, in plain words, that Europe should take in at least a million asylum seekers a year, for the foreseeable future. That's not a theory about them. That's their published program. And here's the core problem with the "open society." A society open to everything is closed to nothing, including the forces that will dissolve it. No borders, no shared culture, no common identity, no confidence in its own history. That isn't openness. It's a civilization being asked to stop defending itself. Popper's idea was a society open to criticism. What they built is a society forbidden from saying no. The West wasn't built by people who were ashamed of it. It was built by people who believed it was worth something: its law, its faith, its science, its freedom. Take that away and you don't get a global utopia. You get a vacuum. And vacuums get filled. That's the fight we're in. It isn't left versus right. It's whether the West still believes it has the right to exist. Win it, and we get a renaissance. Lose it, and the dark ages won't be a metaphor.

Why did National Defence sole-source $3.2 million in Key West rooms as urgent? National Defence signed a $3.2 million sole-source contract for 50 days of hotel rooms in Key West, Florida, citing “extreme urgency,” and didn’t disclose it until two quarters later. rebelne.ws/4zZ3QxX

Not a good investment for Canada but apparently our pension funds have already been invested! It has legitimate downsides for Canada, even if the resilience pitch sounds appealing on the surface. The project remains a proposal seeking a Canadian majority partner, financing, customers, further route studies (with EU and Canadian support), permits, and Indigenous community backing for the ~1,900 km terrestrial segment through Quebec. Estimated cost exceeds US$620 million, and analysts note that natural Canada–Europe bilateral traffic is likely too limited to make it commercially viable without heavy hyperscaler demand or public subsidy. Canadian pension funds and Sun Life already hold a large stake in Bulk itself, but the cable-level ownership and operation would still involve a Norwegian firm building and running it.
Europe and Canada are being connected by a direct undersea internet cable that bypasses the US. The project will be called Leif Erikson, named after one of the first Scandinavian explorers to reach America. It will be one of the first parts of Canada's "Sovereign Cable System" because a large majority of current cables are either passing by the US or controlled by US companies. The cable itself will be built and operated by Bulk, a Norwegian digital infrastructure company. Europe is building resilience into a global ecosystem that has many chokepoints controlled by the US.

It makes you want to vomit. Jacinda Ardern has been gifted a privileged position at Sydney University as a “professor of practice”. The University released a statement: “Her work will focus on empathetic leadership, social cohesion and civic trust; further developing new approaches to global and values-based leadership, as well as exploring new ways to address global health challenges centred on equity, inclusion and wellbeing.” This has to be some type of sick joke. “Empathetic leadership – equity and inclusion” – this from a woman that smirked about dividing society into two classes of people. “Civic trust” – from a woman who destroyed civic trust and will be remembered by history as saying “we will be your single source of truth” – and then proceeded to tell lie after lie about the so-called vaccine. The only university Ardern is fit to lecture at is one in North Korea or Cuba. But her appointment only confirms what we already know – our universities are no longer places of education and learning – they are Marxist indoctrination camps, so Ardern will fit in well. Just another reason to vote One Nation.

Wow! I should have listened to my son. He was 18 years old so I didn't. Life is sometimes full of regret.
Hey @grok, if you had $10,000 to invest in 2010 and you listened to Elon Musk instead of Jim Cramer and invested that money into Tesla stock at its IPO, how much money would your investment be worth today?

.@POTUS: We will pass the "No Invasion of Our Country Act." We will pass the death penalty for large scale drug dealers, human traffickers, and anyone who kills a police officer. We will pass voter identification, proof of citizenship, and the "SAVE AMERICA ACT."

Good point!
All Canadians were outraged that President Trump used tariffs to protect American jobs. Meanwhile, the Carney Liberals removed the requirement for employers to consider Canadian applicants first before hiring foreign workers and... crickets! Putting foreign workers ahead of Canadians is not “Elbows Up.” It’s an elbow to the chin of our own people. Common sense = Canadians First for Canadian jobs! #cdnpoli #CPC #CanadaFirst
