hi, my name is Alex, and i’m a phone addict.
it takes too much of my life, messes with my dopamine, and i want to fix it.
i’ve been working on a few things to help me get back to presence. it’s a personal journey, but i want to share what i find along the way. the first product will be a physical object.
but before anything else.. we need an internet home.
stats now have a quick preview on long press. wish you could feel these haptics!
also, added a separate view for actual money invested, instead of the more abstract “price.”

funny how everyone rushes to check their phones the second the plane lands (me included, of course.)
WHAT’S NEW? drugs
wanted to design a simplified LCKDN logo with barbed wire for metal engraving. somewhere along the way, it turned into a parametric tool that adds barbs to any icon. in motion, too.
built it with Toolcraft from @alex_barashkov, and it kept Claude busy for 24+ hours straight with very solid v1 at the end. super useful kit.
so, if you need to barb your logo (i doubt), be my guest.

the sign system i mentioned. Olivetti developed this visual language with the Ulm School of Design as business expanded internationally, so it could be understood by any operator, regardless of language. pretty much the same reason we use icons today to make interfaces easier to comprehend.
highly recommend this lecture on Olivetti’s contribution to personal computing:

added a new shape for $100 bills, for the high spenders. inspired by Olivetti ELEA9000 sign system
