AO3 IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS they do not get paid for any of this. be kind, patient, and respectful to the volunteers who work hard to keep ao3 running, fight against censorship, and protect writers, fanfics, and people’s rights/freedom to write whatever they want, however they want

hate that the world has made me so mistrusting but like. esp as an autjor who sets their fic to registered users. why are my stuff in a random person's drive? feels odd (whilst helpful). its just, esp with so much ai going around, you kinda start seeing danger everuwhere

am I too woke of a fic writer to be a little conflicted about fics being downloaded to personal drives without the author’s knowledge and shared/read without the author gaining any site engagment or is this something I should brush off and get over /gen
