Set formation subs for your playbook's formations in a default/standard playbook they exist in, then they should still be there when using your custom playbook. You have to change your coaches playbook to find each formation.

Struggling to defend weak side flood concepts? Cover 3 Buzz Match Weak is a great way to counter them!
Here I show a Cover 4 shell pre-snap but instead of running Cover 9 like I did earlier to this formation I switch to Cover 3 Buzz Match Weak. This rotates my safety down as the weak side hook defender while the linebacker buzzes to the flats.
Now I've got a safety in position to match the crossing route from #3 and jumping it for a PICK 6! 🔥

Pre-snap disguise = unblocked QB hit 🎯
Clemson shows a 2-high shell, rotates to Cover 3 at the snap, and drops an interior DL while bringing a Creeper pressure. The Tiger nickel on a C-gap dagger blitz creates a free hitter instantly.

Most people think Four Verticals is a slow developing play where you sit back and wait for receivers to get deep down the field. That's NOT how I run it in the Air Raid!
I treat "6" (Four Verticals) like QUICK GAME! The goal is to work through your progressions and get the ball out in 2–3 seconds, not treat it like a Hail Mary.
In this breakdown, I show you how I use pre-snap reads, progressions, and tags to attack what the defense gives me! 🏴☠️

An RPO isn't just a line-of-scrimmage read—it's a Front ID read. 🏈
Trevor Lawrence reads an open B-gap ➡️ handoff for big yards. Gunnar Stockton throws into a closed B-gap ➡️ turnover.

You put Braden Atkinson at QB instead of Arch Manning, and Texas is the best team in CFB, easily.
Instead, we get these seam-shot beauties against a great SDSU secondary all the same.
Replying to @buzzmable
i love this so much
i love the playbook itself
i love the scheme
i love the amount of effort you put into this

✍️ How the heck did Oregon State become the most fun team in the country?
A top-10 offense, a QB from FCS, a freshman WR nobody offered and a head coach leading fans in swag surfing. The Beavs are must-see TV.

McVay-inspired call sheet for Madden.
Under-center zone run. Stretch the defense horizontally. Heavy motion. Layer in play-action constraints. Mix 11, 12 & 13 personnel. Stay ahead of the sticks and manufacture explosives.
HT @buzzmable for the idea.

Something I've noticed this year is a decreased use of Empty formations from NFL offenses.
Checking with @NextGenStats data, sure enough Empty formations have steadily dropped over the past few years and have now reached its lowest mark since 2016, which is as far back as NGS' data goes.
2026: 5.3%
2025: 6.3%
2024: 7.7%
2023: 7.8%
2022: 8.2%
2021: 9.5%
2020: 9.3%
2019: 8.4%
2018: 8.2%
2017: 7.8%
2016: 7.8%
My main theory is that defenses are way better at teeing off on these formations. Now knowing the limited menu that offenses can get to and even having better scouting for things like screens and looks with two Chip helpers that offenses like to use.
You see a lot more drop 8 to muddy up throwing lanes or creeper blitzes that force the OL to squeeze and make the QB hot off the edge rusher, all while dropping 7 into coverage.
