It's such a weird feeling that GTA 6 is coming out in just one month. It's been so long. I know its just a video game but to a lot of us long-time fans, it feels like an end of a chapter in our life.
GTA 5 is coming to an end. Now I know It's not like GTA 5 is suddenly gonna stop being playable but as GTA fans, most of us will finally be moving on from that game, likely permanently. I've poured thousands of hours into GTA 5 and GTAO, I've been playing it since launch when I was just 10 years old alongside my friends. across a ton of replays and I have done almost every thing there is to do in GTAO over the years. As I've grown older, each replay started to mean something different as I started to understand more adult themes and the satire Rockstar puts into GTA. I didn't even really know English when I was first playing all the GTA games as a kid.
The amount of memories I have in Los Santos with my friends is crazy. I have the map memorized better than where I live, there is so much I could tell you about each street in Los Santos, almost every part of this map holds some memory from some random night growing up in a party call with my best friends, we didn't know we were making life-long memories inside this game. It very much was our third place. It still is. Me and those exact same friends popped back into GTAO for the latest heist to make a few final memories before we move onto GTA 6. It always felt like no matter what game came out, we always found our way back into GTAO.
Me and those exact same friends, 13 years later, are 23 years old now. We don't go to school together anymore, we don't sit in the same class anymore, each one of us has become an adult and doing something different in life. Yet, somehow, we still play games together and will all be on GTA Online for a final goodbye come November 18th before we move onto GTA 6, and its online component. Which I am sure, we will be playing for many years to come. GTA 5 and GTA Online are not perfect games, but for me personally? they were the perfect sandboxes to spend thousands of hours in and make countless memories, and I'll always remember the fun I had in this game.

GTA 6 officially launches next month.
Here is how to stay alive until November 19:
- Look both ways before crossing the road
- Wear your seatbelt
- Don’t text and drive
- Stay away from random fights
- Don’t climb anything you can fall off
- Don’t eat anything suspicious
- Get enough sleep
- Drink water
- Avoid doing anything that starts with “watch this”
- Absolutely no “one last crazy thing before GTA 6”
We’ve made it this far. Don’t fumble the final month… please.
