Long-lost footage of Ted Williams explaining his hitting philosophy in the middle of an Oregon fishing trip has been found. To explain this treasure, we talk with perhaps his greatest modern devotee, Joey Votto, as well as his close friend Dave McCarthy. youtube.com/watch?v=_SYwGIhH…

Hot Take:
You don't "earn" the right to plant a flag, you earn the right to celebrate with your team.
You don't earn the right to show up the pitcher after a HR, you earn the right to run the bases and celebrate with your team.
You earn the right to celebrate, not to taunt

If you don’t understand the message inside this short video, I’ve got nothing else for you 🤷🏻♂️
To say that Augie was a national treasure is an understatement @nextlevelbb
We’ve come a long way - some of it good, some of it bad but I can guarantee you MOST coaches believe in this message today
How we have to deliver it has definitely changed but MOST of us still have this engrained in the fabric of our DNA
As a player, so should you…as a parent, you should want your child around a coach that challenges them to be the best they could be on a daily basis - baseball is life
