Texas Children’s Hospital has opened a clinic to provide care for people who previously underwent gender-transition interventions, Attorney General Ken Paxton announced. Paxton says the clinic is the first of its kind in the nation and was established as part of his office’s settlement with the hospital. The settlement also required Texas Children’s to pay $10 million to resolve claims that it improperly billed Texas Medicaid for gender-transition interventions, according to Paxton’s office. The clinic offers detransition-related medical care to patients through age 21. Patients older than 21 may receive related obstetric and gynecologic care, according to the attorney general’s office. Under the settlement, the hospital must fund the clinic’s services for five years, allowing patients to receive care at no cost. “In accordance with my settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital, the nation’s first-ever Detransition Clinic is now open,” Paxton said. Milwaukee Archbishop Jeffrey Grob has issued a public apology after he and 11 other Catholic bishops prayed with President Trump in the Oval Office. Grob says the White House shared photos and video without the bishops’ consent, creating the impression that the gathering was a political endorsement ahead of the midterm elections. “We came in good faith … to pray with a president, not to pose for a political photo opportunity,” he said. "I apologize for any damage my actions have done," Grob said, signing off "with sincere regret." Oh, brother! I understand wanting to clarify that the prayer was not an endorsement. But praying for the president is not a political endorsement, and no one should feel the need to apologize for it. I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on: As Christians, we’re called to pray for those in positions of authority. That doesn’t mean we agree with everything they say or do. It means we’re asking God to give them wisdom and guide their decisions. Denver Archbishop James Golka, who led the prayer, put it this way: “We pray for people. No matter whether we agree or disagree on anything, we always pray for our country and leaders.” Amen to that. 🙏 Do you consider it a political endorsement when a faith leader prays over the president? First Lady Melania Trump says the humanitarian ceasefire she helped broker between Russia and Ukraine has begun in and around Oleshky, a Russian-occupied city in Ukraine’s Kherson region. “The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026,” the first lady announced. “Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid.” Melania said the area covered by the ceasefire has expanded beyond Oleshky to provide safe passage for humanitarian convoys. Russian and Ukrainian officials have confirmed the localized ceasefire began. The agreement is intended to bring aid to residents and allow those who wish to leave to evacuate safely. A pastor and his wife are going viral after publicly introducing another church minister as his second wife. Israel Ford, who calls himself “Prophet Israel,” leads LifeWorks Church near Cleveland alongside his wife, "Pastor Lydia" Ford. Lydia introduced "Minister Shakayla" Ford as her “sister in marriage.” Ford defended the arrangement on Facebook, writing: “As a nation we have been taught that a man should have one wife only. This is unbiblical.” Let that sink in. A church leader is telling his congregation that having ONE wife is unbiblical. The church’s own website says its mission includes loving Christ through “obedience in lifestyle.” How does this teaching square with that commitment? Ford cited Exodus 21:10 to defend the arrangement. But that passage addresses protections for a female servant within an ancient household. Regulating an existing practice does not automatically establish it as God’s design for marriage. In Matthew 19:4–6, Jesus points back to creation, describing a man joined to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. And 1 Timothy 3:2 describes a church overseer as the husband of one wife. Calling something a revelation does not put it beyond the authority of Scripture. Please pray for this congregation and its leaders. What would you do if your pastor announced this from the pulpit?
