This meaninglessly antagonistic rule has been removed from the check in instructions for LA County elections. In the past I would follow this and it would trigger people into trying to debate voter ID with me.
The @lacountyrrcc has (with several days notice this time) posted the schedule for the mobile and flex vote centers online. Since the Dodgers aren't in the World Series October 25 and 29 at Dodger Stadium or November 1 at SoFi stadium are options.
It looks like SCAG is going to appeal this determination, saying that "cost burden adjustment" is not directly quantifiable. Thus the 1,359,750 number goes down by 51,021 if moderate/above-mod is removed or by 504,627 if the adjustment is completely removed.
The 7th cycle RHND from @California_HCD to @SCAGnews is 1.36M homes, compared to 1.34M in the 6th cycle. While the number of units is basically the same, the distribution has shifted. In the 6th cycle, 42% of homes called for were market rate. In the 7th, that has dropped to 34%.

Meeting is at 2 pm both in person and online. Great opportunity to listen to SCAG dive deep into the weeds on this. I have no doubt the regional council will want to appeal this down to 855,123 if they could.
Also a public comment opportunity as well, if you want SCAG to stand pat on the number instead. scag.zoom.us/j/85410359225

Years of men ranting about how father's rights are so limited in this country and yet when fathers actually do get custody, they dont seem to question how bad the mother just had to be for that to happen

I'm going to add that not only have funding cuts never improved a service, BART has *already* had it's funding cut and it's service hasn't improved as a result, which is why we need to fund it. The thing you all want has already been tried and failed. Your plan is a failure.
Bay Area peeps: Vote NO on the RTM ballot proposition.
This tax will increase your sales tax on everything you buy from lunch out, kids bikes, family clothing, and homegood from 8.6% to 9.6%
BART has shown zero ability or interest in containing bloated headcount and salaries. The only thing that will drive efficiency and change is cutting off access to the taxpayer’s teat
The B and D lines also running every 20 that day, although at least both lines are running so 6 trains an hour as an alternate through downtown.
FYI the X card will NOT work at Everi and Global Payments TITO machines or ATMs. It will work at NRT ATMs. Caesars properties, Resorts World, and Fontainebleau off the top of my head are casinos that use NRT ATMs.
The best practice is supposed to tell the voter to put the ID away and tell them to recite their name and address by memory. Inevitably, a pollworker misspells or can't understand the voter's speech and the voter ends up shoving the ID at the pollwoeker anyway.
Culver City shut down their entire bus system until Monday for this. No alternate service other than walking to parallel routes miles away. Metro should step up and run service on key routes but transit is an afterthought even in the most transit friendly part of town.
At @SCAGnews they invited @California_HCD to discuss the process of the Regional Housing Needs Determination this cycle. youtube.com/live/N1Q7HqFGfWI…
