In times of change, it’s tempting to grip to what we know, and hold on to what we can. But life doesn’t work like that - it keeps going despite our feelings. Change is constant.
This disparity is suffering, which it turns out is optional!
Instead, release your expectation of the future, and imbue the present moment with your hope. Then, release.
Today, as we walk Earth together, let’s share a smile with a stranger 🙂

Wip robot arm character for Halloween. I think this is novel - turning the gripper into a talking face that also grabs the objects and uses efforts and muttering to communicate state. Are there other examples of this? I'd love to see them.

Did someone say "do a kickflip"? 😉
Here you go: we did the world's first robot kickflip! 🎉

My Costco sauna has its own MCP server now
Claude Code handled the whole project (well, except for the digging 😅):
- prepped the yard variance that got its location approved with BZA
- rendered a custom video in Blender on how to build the pad
- built the local MCP server that controls heater, timer, and lights so I can ditch the crappy cloud control app entirely
- put it on my tailnet with internet blocked, for private warming away from home

working at meta
🎯 If your AI orchestrator is making domain decisions, it's doing too much.
We'd built one AI agent that knew everything about onboarding data columns across Meta's recommendation systems — every schema, every code generation rule, every population pattern for 10+ data sources. Past a certain point, more knowledge made it worse, not better. It would apply one subsystem's naming conventions to another.
⚙️ So we made the central agent dumber on purpose. It now routes 20+ workflows to 14 specialists and does no domain reasoning at all.
📈 Configuration prep for a new data column went from three to four days by hand to under an hour.
