Dear Sir,
Thank you so much for this acknowledgment and for drawing attention to one of the many themes capturing India's profound transformation. 🙏
Over the past few days I came across interesting research pieces by @TheOfficialSBI and the insightful @capitalcalculus on India's rising prosperity. I have cited these works and shared a few thoughts on @LinkedIn. Do read... linkedin.com/pulse/indias-ri…

A lyricist unmatched, unparalleled in the history of cinema . He gave a new tone to emotions through his words and linking with deep thoughts . Captured the spectrum of human emotions , different shades & variations . A perfect writer who portrayed the power of human thoughts through the interplay of words coupled with music .
Remembering Sahir ludhianvi on his death anniversary 🙏
A poet whose words gave voice to love, longing, heartbreak, and the harsh realities of life. Through his timeless poetry and unforgettable songs, Sahir touched countless hearts and questioned the injustices of society.
His pen was his strength, his poetry his identity, and his words his immortality. Though he left us decades ago, his thoughts and verses continue to resonate with every generation.
Some poets write for their time; Sahir wrote for all time.
Forever remembered, forever cherished. 🌹
श्रद्धांजलि — साहिर लुधियानवी को सादर नमन।

Some songs describe love. This one lets us see it, breathe it, and feel it in the gentle embrace of nature.

Fascinating learning about Norway. 🇳🇴
Most countries discover oil and find ways to spend the money. Norway discovered oil and found a way to multiply the money.
A country of 5.6 mil and a $2.3 trillion sovereign wealth fund roughly $400k per capita, before counting private wealth.
Nearly two-thirds of the fund’s value comes from investment returns, not petroleum inflows. They Invested globally into ~8k companies and let compounding work. Build wealth for generations.
Turn finite resources into permanent prosperity, what a way to build a nation. 🫡

BREAKING: In an unprecedented comeback, Brazil's President Lula da Silva has defeated Flavio Bolsonaro, securing a 4th term in office.
Lula is officially the first presidential candidate in Brazil's modern democratic history to lose the first round of voting and go on to win the runoff.
Prior to the election, Lula's implied odds of victory had fallen as low as 10%.
This marks one of the most remarkable political comebacks in Brazil's history.

China is building a 60,000 MW dam on the Yarlung Tsangpo at Medog. India’s answer, the 11,200 MW Siang Upper Multipurpose Project, was first proposed in 1983 and declared a national project in 2008.
Last year or so, India finally made moves to get the project rolling.
On Friday night, a mob that called itself “Gen Z” set fire to the NHPC office and a police station in Pasighat, looted the homes of two MLAs and injured more than 40 police personnel. Arunachal holds about 40% of India’s hydropower potential. Its installed capacity is 2,115 MW.
Every project of national scale now has to get past veto points, most of it is just stalled out of motivated malice. From survey consent, social impact assessments, environmental clearances, litigation, local politics, and finally the violent street veto.
Really need to think if Democrazy as it is practised in India today has anything remotely useful to offer especially considering economic aspirations via @timesofindia
Excellent plan!
At 𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶, we have launched a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 responding to AI’s impact on education and growing mental health concerns.
AI has democratised access to knowledge. Our focus therefore is now on giving students the confidence and skills to build independently.
We have strengthened hands on learning and made research and project activities integral to undergraduate studies through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗣), 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗣 and 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗣.
Students engage with societal problems, with funding to develop and test solutions within the curriculum. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹’s industry mentorship and #𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 pathways help take these ideas towards ventures.
We are spending over ₹50 crore this year upgrading undergraduate laboratories across Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad to reflect technological advances.
We have also taken the lead in integrating 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 and 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 wellbeing, with about 60 hours of structured participation in fitness, creativity, wellbeing workshops, social conduct and community engagement.
Approximately 250 faculty colleagues across departments and campuses have contributed to this revision of BITS Pilani’s undergraduate curriculum. Inputs from recruiters and alumni, along with feedback from student surveys, have helped shape the changes.
The restructured curriculum includes:
• Credit hours that account for the total student workload, including self study and reflection. This makes the demands we place on students more visible.
• Greater emphasis on learning through design, prototyping, experimentation and projects, with more problem solving in the classroom.
• A broad foundation across science, engineering and computing, alongside humanities, arts and social sciences.
• Structured opportunities to progress from introductory undergraduate research to advanced projects and thesis work.
• New pathways for entrepreneurship, research and industry practice embedded into Practice School. These help students identify problems, develop and test solutions, and take promising ideas towards products and ventures.
For us, making room for these experiences is an important curriculum decision. Students need time to build healthy habits and meaningful relationships alongside their academic work.
My thanks to the curriculum review team and everyone who contributed to this exercise.

Silver in Paris 🥈❤️
Of course, I wanted the gold. But there’s a part of me that’s just really happy to feel all those long days, difficult losses and endless hours of work finally beginning to mean something. I’ve missed this feeling more than I can explain. ❤️
An se Young , keep shining. You’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and it’s a privilege to share the court with you.
To my team, you know what it’s taken to get here. Thank you for never giving up on me, even on the days I struggled to believe in myself. We have so much more to chase 🫶
And Paris, what can I say? You’ve given me another reason to love you.

Dhoni gave some really solid, straightforward advice. If you haven’t heard it yet, definitely give it a listen. It’s not just for Gen Z, but for people of all ages. This advice is especially relevant in today’s time.

Infra done right: Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat RRTS doubled passengers in one year.
Shweta Sharma, who lives in Partapur in Meerut, said her son leaves home at 8.30 am, takes the Namo Bharat train to Sarai Kale Khan and then the Delhi Metro to Kalkaji Mandir, reaching JIMS Kalkaji in time for his 10 am lectures. He is usually back home by 6 pm.
“It is as good as staying in Delhi,” she said.

A student applied to JJ Institute. He was refused admission with the dean saying "his drawings lacked the kind of talent to qualify for enrolment in our institution as a student"
The student was R K Laxman - "The Common Man"
He finally graduated from the University of Mysore. He continued his freelance artistic activities and contributed cartoons to Swarajya.
In 1951, Laxman joined The Times of India, Mumbai, beginning a career that spanned over fifty years. His "Common Man" character, featured in his pocket cartoons, is portrayed as a witness to the making of democracy.
Today is his birth anniversary

This issue has been going on for more than 20 days now.
None of the mainstream media is covering this topic on priority like we freelancers are expendables.
Notification went on Jan'13, Till date RBI does not have a direct clear answer for a very basic question, Whether individual software exporters are covered under it or not. All the info people have is some thing said in a press conference, when did talk on press conference is taken as written gurantee.

With a few strokes and a sharp wit, Padma Vibhushan R.K. Laxman turned everyday India into timeless art. Through his iconic Common Man, he captured the ironies, struggles and spirit of ordinary Indians, one cartoon at a time.
Also conferred with Padma Bhushan (1973) and the Ramon Magsaysay Award (1984) for his contributions to journalism and arts, we remember the legendary cartoonist Laxman on his 105th birth anniversary.

For the first time, we're seeing FPIs invest into indian equity mutual funds - around 10,000 cr. this month already. They've sold around 48,000 cr. in equity holdings though, but at least some of it gets offset with equity MF buying.

And they have arrived in India ! Goosebumps ! The Amur falcons are back in Manipur, 11 days after leaving northeastern China. After all those moving dots we watched across continents and oceans, how lovely to know they are here again.
And any guesses why they stop here? Yes, the termites ! As the monsoon retreats, winged termites emerge in enormous swarms across Manipur, Nagaland and neighbouring areas. Our tiny travellers arrive just in time for this feast, rich in the fat and protein that will help carry them to Africa.
And what appetites ! Researchers estimate that a million Amur falcons can eat around two billion termites in just over a fortnight. Imagine that: an ocean crossing made possible by insects so small we barely notice them. For the next two to three weeks, they are expected to feast and rest in Tamenglong, watched over by communities who eagerly await their return. Then comes the leap that will have us holding our breath again: nearly 6,000 km to Somalia in around six days without landing, including some 3,000 km over the Arabian Sea.
Come along. Our tiny superbirds have so much more to show us as Dr Suresh and team @WII track their incredible journey. @byadavbjp @moefcc @sureshwii @wii_india
#AmurFalcons #BirdMigration #AmurFalconMigration
India, watch out for the incredible Amur falcons' journey again ! Remember Apapang, Alang and Ahu, the tiny falcons whose extraordinary journeys have kept so many of us watching and wondering ! Now they are back on our maps.
Dr Suresh of the Wildlife Institute of India tells me both are still transmitting, while Ahu stopped transmitting last year. Apapang and Alang stayed in northeastern China longer than he had expected this season. Apapang and Alang have now begun their southward journey and are expected to reach Manipur around 20 October.
For the past one year, we have been following these remarkable travellers across countries, continents and oceans. Somehow, seeing a familiar name transmitting again feels like hearing from an old friend. Come along ! Lets get ready to be stunned by this miracle of nature once again #AmurFalcons @sureshwii #BirdMigration @wii_india #AmurFalconMigration
