Labour are now leading Wales in the PollCheck regional tracker: Labour: 23.4% Reform UK: 22.4% Plaid Cymru: 20.6% Labour leads in Wales for the first time since early July 2025, after a year in the mid-to-high teens. Plaid is at 20.6%, down from a 31.3% high in July 2025. Reform is at 22.4%, after being at a high of 35.6% in Sept 2025. Good to see Prime Minister Andy Burnham act quickly to give families breathing space on living costs. A £2 bus fare cap in Wales is a decision for the Welsh Government—and Welsh Labour pledged it. Plaid should act urgently, or Wales will pay more than England for bus travel.

If we’re still using oil and gas (which we are) importing it instead of producing it at home doesn’t change the climate impact. It does change who gets the jobs, who gets the tax revenues to fund our public services and who controls our energy security and national resilience. This is absolutely the right call.
