i generally don't mind lore changes (they're fun even!) but what i do need is the character to stay recognizable. there should be justification the way they're changing their lore so that it panders to both the plot AND their original character

the thing that's bugging me most abt the whole rambulychee thing is the ppl going around talking abt some "not all affection is romantic".... we know that smartass😭😭 but that's clearly what they got going on bffr. they're clearly presented as a ship but it was all handled oddly
if there's ANYTHING i really crave to see,, imagine longan using snapdragon against lotus. use their long lost flower dragon kin as plain leverage and force them straight into ananas' position back in ovenbreak.
still, i think crk!lychee is less post-draconic characterization and more of a timeline where they were never included in longan's plan at all.. which is an interesting direction if longan is taking an entirely different approach this time around

can i also say the careless use of lychee’s despair sprite in chapter 14 was REALLY FUCKING IRRITATING. They didn’t even use that when longan was playing in their face, it was used after 4 years of buildup to convey the impact of rambutan’s sacrifice on lychee and their ideology.
