🥎 STOP CHASING THE DIVISION. START CHASING THE RIGHT FIT. One of the biggest mistakes I see in recruiting is athletes feeling pressured by comments like: “Why aren’t you going D1?” “You could play at a higher level.” Here’s the truth: College softball isn’t about the logo on your jersey. It’s about finding the place where you’ll succeed for the next four years. Every level—NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and JUCO—has outstanding coaches, talented players, competitive softball, and incredible academic opportunities. What matters most is finding a program where: 🥎 You’re valued as a person, not just another name on the roster. 🎓 Your academic goals are supported. 📈 You have the opportunity to grow and contribute. 🤝 The coaching staff communicates honestly. 🏡 The team culture feels like home. I’ve seen athletes choose a school because of the division, only to end up unhappy, buried on the depth chart, or transferring a year later. The best commitment isn’t the highest division. It’s the best fit. Go where you’ll be challenged. Go where you’ll be supported. Go where you’ll grow as both a player and a person. Every opportunity to play college softball is an incredible accomplishment. Choose fit over prestige. Your future self will thank you. — Coach Jennifer Turner

📣 Softball Athletes in the Recruiting Process — Read This. The decision of where you play college softball… Is a decision you will never forget. It will shape who you become as a person. It will challenge you, grow you, and define your college experience both on and off the field. But here’s something that’s so important to remember: This is YOUR decision. Not your mom’s. Not your dad’s. Not your coach’s. Not your teammate’s. You’re allowed to advocate for yourself. You’re allowed to say what YOU want. You’re allowed to choose the place that feels like home, not just the place that looks good to others. Your voice matters. Speak up. Ask questions. Trust your gut. And make the decision that’s right for YOU. Because you’re the one who will live it. And it’s going to be one of the most powerful chapters of your life. 💙🥎 — Coach Jennifer Turner
