Feel so very privileged to be a small part of the #AshdenAwards and to meet such extraordinary individuals doing so much to improve the planet, and the lives of so many on it. Well done @Ashden_org another brilliantly hosted ceremony.
If National Grid have there way they’d do this all over the country. Let’s not give up the fight and make them consider the planet first. Just bury them.

It is shocking that @ofgem sits by and allows @nationalgrid to do this without following Treasury Green Book guidance to appraise alternatives. And it is shocking that @energygovuk does not insist on full compensation for those whose lives have been ruined.

Appalling customer service on a failed brand new Fiat 500 EV @FIAT_UK @fiat #motorvogue Norwich. My elderly in laws were in fast moving traffic when car died. They have been kept completely in the dark. Terrible advert for Fiat and @Stellantis @jertownsend Someone sort this out.
Not one of your staff members can help! Why can I not see if my return e ticket is valid for travel without a guard checking it? I don’t always travel home on the train, but have an open ticket valid for 1 month. It needs to be an added function.

I will be on @BBCSuffolk between 8am and 8.30 talking about @Jeremy_Hunt’s pounds for pylons proposal. Yesterday I told @BBCEssex the idea is insulting, adds money to everyone’s bills and is a bribe for bad proposals.
Autumn Statement is likely to bring details.

We don't want your POUNDS FOR PYLONS, @Jeremy_Hunt. They are a dinosaur technology! You should be looking to the future with an integrated offshore grid in the North Sea. It would save consumers £2bn & send a signal to wind farm developers that we welcome them.

Radical would be the integrated offshore grid which you know is cheaper, better and faster. It would signal to wind farm developers that we're open for business and allow us to compete with our continental counterparts.
These are the most radical plans to update our electricity grid since the 1950s.
Households will now get a slice of the benefits of new infrastructure – up to £10,000 off energy bills over 10 years.
