The AMA’s second annual State of Health Care Report brings together public opinion and patient experiences to highlight what Albertans are experiencing when they access care, highlighting both what is working well in our system and where gaps remain. albertadoctors.org/advocacy/…
Danielle Smith is a liar. She is as dishonest as the day is long in the Arctic in Summer.
She lies so easily and casually. A truly despicable and dishonest person.
During the election, Premier Smith was asked if "Albertans can trust what you say" in regards to her "Public Health Care Guarantee"
She assured listeners that "We will not be asking people to pay out of pocket for surgical services"
Danielle Smith's words are worthless

Albertans are complaining about a +40% increase in auto insurance the past three years. Wait until Smith & Anderson marry American insurance to Alberta healthcare. That's real pain.

During the election, Danielle Smith called the NDP liars and assured Albertans that:
"no one can jump the queue"
"no one can pay out of pocket"
"no one will ever pay out of pocket"
Premier Smith's election campaign was all lies.

NEW:
Alberta announces dual practice will start this fall.
Patients will now have option to pay for all elective surgeries allowed by CPSA in a non-hospital surgical facility, including hips, knees and cataract.
New regulations include doctors must work minimum number of hours in public system before taking part in private delivery- and family physicians cannot partake.
No privately paid surgeries will be allowed for life threatening procedures such as cancer and emergencies- those will remain under public.

🇨🇦 Her actions, not her words speak volumes. Canadians need to accept that Premier Danielle Smith's UCP Alberta gov't is working to undermine every Canadian institution, restrict rights and blow holes in our social safety net for only one reason...

Hey separatists: anyone want to explain why Water Not Coal isn't getting a referendum despite passing the same thresholds as the separatist petition? And they did it without illegally accessing the Elections Alberta list of electors! Explain how THAT is democratic, please!

Indigenous History Month is an opportunity to learn from Indigenous voices, histories, cultures, and communities throughout Canada.
Learning is an important part of reconciliation. It means taking time to understand Indigenous histories and present-day realities, learn whose land you are on, respect protocols, and listen to Survivors, Knowledge Keepers, artists, educators, and community members.
