So sick of far right spin like this. That poor guy is a trained surgeon and was simply trying to board the asylum boat with his tools of the trade. Doctors and engineers we massively need.

Are some people seriously contemplating voting Tory again? Have they lost their minds? Do they not remember the years 2010-2024 - the economic stagnation, the housing crisis, the immigration shambles, the deepening 'wokeification' of our institutions and society, the mad green zealotry, the sacrificing of our energy security? Does all that get forgotten because Kemi Badenoch can turn a decent phrase? The Tories deserve to die a slow death. They should certainly never get anywhere near power again for a good many years.
Totally agree.
This is awful. Truly; and should not have happened. A picture of decline.
Unarmed teletubbies in ill-fitting playground uniforms. Pseudo soldiers used as decorations. The very opposite of martial excellence, and so far from the hard steel and war-won standards of the past.
No wonder IRGC finds it easy to roam free around the UK….

They had an 80 seat majority in 2019 and could've done it at any time. Instead they opened the flood gates and decided to push this motion when in opposition.
It's all theatre. None of these people give a fuck.
🚨BREAKING: MPs have voted against a Conservative motion calling for the UK to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights in order to deport illegal migrants
They voted 309 to 113 (a majority of 196) against the motion, which would also have condemned plans to house 1,256 unvetted male migrants at a disused Ministry of Defence site near Piddington, Oxfordshire

My vote on Brexit was affected by disinformation. I voted Remain because I was told if Leave won there would be terrible consequences.
The BoE Governor told me he would raise interest rates - he lowered them.
The Chancellor said he'd have an emergency budget - he didn't.
The Treasury said unemployment would go up - it went down.
Goldman Sachs and others said they would pull out of Britain - they spent billions on new HQs
The Chief Executive of the NHS Alliance said there would be an epidemic of super-gonorrhoea.
As for foreign interference - The EU, the US and Irish Presidents etc etc all weighed in on the side of Remain.

Kemi Badenoch lobbied for the Boriswave.
In 2015 the Tories promised you they'd cut immigration to the tens of thousands.
They then imported 572,000 in a single year.
For Kemi, that wasn't nearly enough.
In parliament in 2018, she declared: “I especially thank the Home Secretary for removing the annual limits on work visas and on international students: I lobbied for both on behalf of the Wellcome Sanger Institute and Anglia Ruskin university'.
She got her wish.
Her party then imported a mind-blowing 4.8 million people in less than 4 years.
Over HALF of them on the work and study visas that she lobbied to derestrict.
You cannot trust them to deal with immigration.
Reform will abolish ILR, ban all foreign nationals from all forms of welfare, and reverse the Boriswave.

This is insane.
A Sudanese 'asylum seeker' was ordered to leave his hotel because of his bad behaviour.
So he set it on fire.
If the blaze were not contained, up to 170 people could have been burnt alive.
When security found him, he was sat there 'smiling at them'.
His sentence?
31 months.
That's the exact same sentence Lucy Connolly received after she posted on social media about setting fire to a hotel.
But this Sudanese man actually did it.
Yet they got the SAME SENTENCE.
We will end two tier Britain.
End the systematic discrimination against white people in British policing and justice.
We will ensure any foreign national who commits a crime on British soil is deported.
Do we think that politicians are just lazy fucks riding the gravy train? Leaving the EU terrified them because they were happy to let the Germans write our laws. Lazy, useless, mostly evil cunts.
Critics said it was fantasy that we could leave the ECHR and secure our border. The real fantasy is thinking there’s an alternative thetimes.com/comment/columni…

i find it very difficult to read these columns. Sunak had a majority of 80, two years in power and he did nothing with either. Nothing on housing. Nothing on tax simplification. Nothing on net zero. He may have been the last Conservative PM for a generation and his time in office was an utter waste of time.

Dozens of bullets were fired by Hamas terrorists at the door of Tamar and Johnny’s safe room on October 7.
Even as they lay dying, Tamar and Johnny kept holding the door shut, trying to protect little Shahar, Arbel, and Omer until their final moments.
Tamar managed to send a text saying they had been shot and were critically wounded.
Then the terrorists set the house on fire.
Tamar, Johnny, Shahar, Arbel, and Omer all burned to death.
Absolutely true. Cars now are mostly soulless and complicated for the sake of it.
I'm acutely aware that my much-loved but antiquated Vauxhall will give up the ghost some time in the not too distant future so I'm still idly browsing Autotrader for inspiration. I'm now fascinated how the auto industry has been absolutely gutted.
It used to be that you could buy virtually anything you like on the used car market, just so long as you didn't care that much how many miles it had on the clock. £10k would buy you a very respectable motor. Now though, you can have anything you like just so long as it's a grey, underpowered faux-SUV that's going to be too complicated to repair.
It's interesting because this is the inevitable destination of multiple regulatory interventions resulting in cars that all have basically the same engine, and built to roughly the same dimensions and specifications, so there is now nothing on the market that's genuinely exciting.
It's basically state-directed communism without taking ownership of the car plants. The market is still notionally capitalist, and the market still sets the price, but you can only choose between a narrow set of parameters defined by the state, basically demolishing any notion of desirability.
This is what they're doing to everything. Without actually imposing full communism, they are gradually removing anything resembling consumer choice. The state decides what you ought to have according to their central plan, but still allows you some choice in the minor variables to maintain the illusion of freedom of choice.
The depressing thing about it is that it's done imperceptibly slowly, so that nobody really notices or complains. We'll just go along with it until one day you can only rent a transport pod, and food is just a Soylent Green pizza base with a choice of rationed toppings. This is when they tells us that capitalism has failed and move in to acquire all the businesses they've regulated into oblivion.
But then it occurs to me, they been doing this for a long time now. It started with our political parties. They've basically regulated what is an acceptable political position. They reward conformity and punish dissident, to the point where you have notionally different parties with different colours and logos, but are essentially the same thing. You notionally have freedom of choice, but only from the options you're given. As with any consumer market, the system is regulated to prevent innovation that might offer anything different.
Every time they do this, they decide not only what you should have, and what you should like, they move to ensure they are the only supplier - and it's always somehow a moral failing to not want what they supply.
The other day, I remarked that if Russian tanks rolled into Brussels and London, I'd view it as a liberation. It is deeply ironic that a revanchist Soviet aggressor state would be less hostile to energy generation and industrialisation than supposedly free market Europe. We're basically Communist China but without the industrial base.

Replying to @Lord_Sugar
Are you trolling us now?
I am a barrister. Every single barrister, judge, senior doctor, nurse, local business owner I know voted Leave.
Leave voters took the time and effort to consider their vote. To listen to the various groups (fishermen being the most obvious) it was clear that the EU was heading towards a Federal Project via the extension of remit of the ECJ. Set up as a Commercial Court to prevent anti-competition behaviour, the Maastricht and Lisbon Treaties widened the scope to Immigration, Matrimonial, Social care, Employment and Human Rights.
What’s the problem with that? You wail.
The problem is this: the laws being enforced by the ECJ are not from a democratically elected parliament, but from a body called the EU Commission.
This is an appointed body, not elected. Before you ask: No, unlike our parliament, the EU Parliament does not originate law. It rubber stamps them from the Commission.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have on any of the EU treaties, I know them inside out.
Before I go.
Remain voters voted for the SQ. A lazy vote, just like the entire machine of the state: lazy.
Don’t you dare call me stupid for my vote.
