Working alongside Ben the past 4+ years covering Kentucky basketball was a highlight of both my personal and professional lives.
I hope you all will support his new venture at Inside Kentucky Basketball, which features a few other familiar faces ⬇️
Big personal news: I've left the Herald-Leader, but I'll still be covering the Kentucky men's basketball team full time.
If you enjoyed my coverage in the past, I’ll need your support to make this work.
Here’s more on my new (independent!) approach: insidekentuckybasketball.com…
Hunter is a great writer, a wonderful journalist and a terrific friend above all else.
Anybody in need of a hard-working, determined reporter — especially in the college baseball space — would be lucky to have him.

Yeah, I'm back. Let's go. "High school sports writer Jared Peck joins PrepSpin." prepspin.com/news/high-schoo…
Some personal news — I'm leaving my role as a sports reporter at the Lexington Herald-Leader newspaper, and today is my final day.
The decision to move on was 100% my call, and I'm fortunate for that.
I'm so appreciative of everyone and everything from the past 5 years. (1/3)
I'd like to thank the athletes, coaches, parents and anybody else who trusted me with their stories and words in the Herald-Leader.
I had never visited Lexington before accepting this job, and I will forever be indebted to this community for the positives it has given me. (2/3)
I have no clue what I'm up to next, and that goes for work as well.
Please get in touch at [email protected] if you'd like to talk about anything, including but not limited to:
- Job opportunities
- Movies
- Sandwich concepts
Otherwise, thanks. It's been a pleasure. (3/3)
