Remember, there is still only a very small percentage of weird, delusional, paranoid, nasty freaks in the world. It's just that they're all on Twitter😂 I just went for a long walk and everyone was lovely. Enjoy life and don't let miserable people get you down. Here's a cat.

Canadians, you have no idea what was done today in the name of -- what? Safety? Punishment? What's the rationale, even hypothetically? The Emergency Act was reserved for events that threatened the very existence of the state. If you think that current events qualify, think again.

The fact that Number 10 is backpedaling on *ever* releasing the whole Sue Gray report is as disgraceful as it is predictable. This whole shambolic and dishonest government must be brought down.

It’s bizzare how many folk are pushing for NHS not to treat the unvaccinated due to ‘personal choice’, but yet haven’t been so vocal about excluding other personal choices to help relieve NHS pressure; drinking, smoking, fighting, speeding, sports, DIY, obesity, drugs etc etc

SAGE modelling projected up to 6,000 daily Covid deaths in January without any further lockdown restrictions. Today, the official number of total Covid deaths in the UK was 48.

This is not an easy message to convey, even to those who have have already accepted that zero-covid was toast. Essentially everyone will eventually get infected by SARS-CoV-2 in the near future, and likely more than once in their lifetime.

Replying to @Independent
The research, as you’ve quoted it, makes it clear last-resort measures could be required in the “pessimistic” scenario. And that there’s still a huge amount of uncertainty that makes modelling difficult.
This tabloid-style sensationalism for clicks is so unedifying. Do better.

🔸It is none of my business if someone is vaccinated or not

I am usually in favour of strong measures to protect health. But compulsory vaccination is a step too far.

He should be done! He lies constantly to us all. His ministers then lie to us all on his behalf.
Here’s what he will do
1. Ride the storm today and fudge it
2. In the next 2-3 days put a big Covid distraction out there ! Work from home ! Rule of 6🤷🏻♂️
Don’t fall for it 😡

There are roughly 50,000 additional people walking around today who have cancer, but don't know it due to disruptions.
To be frank, their chances of survival suffer horrendously every week the tumour continues to grow.
50,000 - it could be even higher.

Anyone who supports (or turns a blind eye) to mandatory vaccination while claiming to be a liberal need to look in the mirror and they will see that they have become an illiberal liberal.

Forcing the public by law to take a COVID vaccine is reprehensible.
It will tear society apart, cause unspeakable anger and set a horrific precedent. Choice, autonomy and freedom still matter in my view.
I'm ashamed it's being discussed and even implemented in places.

One of the hardest moments as an oncologist is when you know if a patient had presented maybe a month or two earlier, their prognosis would be significantly different.
There will sadly be many more of these moments over the coming years.
Tens and tens of thousands more.
