Lots of travel recently. Finally made it to a Scialog conference two weeks ago. Wonderful experience, absolutely stunning location. Check out these Tuscon sunrises and sunsets. Thanks @RCSA1 for running these!
Proud to have a former undergraduate lead a first author paper in Advanced Functional Materials. This emerged from a senior thesis project between my group and @ghpaulino !

Can't remember the last time I was handed compostable packaging (PLA)... That wasn't mixed in alongside PET, and with composting bins actually available. A nice rare moment of consistency ✅ thanks SFO

The same thing has happened with water bottles. They don’t have to contain as much pressure as soda bottles, so they can be much thinner. And they’ve gotten thinner over time; a modern Niagara water bottle uses 3x less plastic than an Aquafina bottle from less than 20 years ago!

Visited the Sunset Park materials recovery facility with my elective class again today (a windy day!). Always wild to see the pile that is a day in NYC's residential recycling.
Glad I've retained a few non-academic skills. Kiddo requested a Bowser Jr costume and I think we've delivered ✅. Happy Halloween! 🎃

"The length of time in
which she weathers
her watch: a brooding.
Imagine her, perched,
pale and love-long,
